This is actually really old news but I went to post this article in his recruiting profile and we don't have one! And I'm too lazy to make one.

Pretty great pickup for a PWO. Was rather heavily recruited, is a solid talent that will help on the scout team immediately, and is a great fit for ND.

Wow. Great kid. Good luck to him.

I wonder how much he worked out for the coaches?

From what I understand, it was solely based off his film.

Great pickup for Notre Dame. D-1 arm. Will be able to add a lot to the scout team and compliments Rob Regan really well.

Can a PWO be admitted to the University based on the same baselines that traditional scholarship athletes have to meet?

Or do they have to be accepted to the University based on a traditional application (strictly academics), and then being a PWO follows?

I am sure the football program will have some say in that, but in this case, I believe Henry actually applied before attempting to walk on

I also really like this kid. Above and beyond everything else it is nice to have one more like him in the locker room.

(If that sounded bad at all, I am sorry.)

I was just curious because I had a very similar academic profile, but I wouldn't have had a hope or a prayer at getting into ND haha.

Most PWOs get their application flagged by the coaches and it helps with admissions similar to any other recruited athlete. However, you'll typically see PWOs have rather strong academic profiles regardless of their athletic prowess, because the overall academic profile of a team is something all schools/coaches weigh and PWOs are a great opportunity to add high-achieving kids.

And not to mention, If you don't value academics, you probably aren't willing or interested to try and walk on at ND.

Film was actually good. He had some nice receivers, and particulalrly some burners, so yea the long balls were fun to watch...but at that level speed REALLY kills. But I was really impressed with his ability to put the ball into some tight windows...WOW. Some of that stuff over the middle I had to back up and look again...they all appeared to be pretty good reads, and he put it in a good place...zipped when he needed to and dropped it in when he needed to...impressive for walk-on.
