Jeremiyah Love is the only answer on this team.

Though a stud on the line might help too.

On Offense - Toss ups between Golden Tate & Bettis Sr.
On Defense - Any pick of Chris Zorich, Manti Te'o, Bryant Young

Honorable Mentions -
Bobby Taylor/X Watts (both would have been on the list just a few years ago)
Jeff Samardzija
Non-Stupid Chase Claypool / Sober Michael Floyd
Justin Yoon/Craig Hentrich - is PK fixed yet?

I’ll go with Will Fuller to be different for this particular year. While I’m confident for the receivers this coming year, a true dominant #1 that can take the top off on every single down would make this offense different with Carr back there.

Most other years I’d go Love

Why I was stuck going back and forth with Floyd and Love. Fuller is a great call too

Obviously intended to be the 22 year old version of former players, not current state.

I'd say DL game wrecker would be a high upgrade potential without disrupting the current lineup. Browner/Page/Young/Zorich/Tuck in their prime, damn that would be something to plug in to this team. Offensively I would lean toward Jeff Samardzia/Tim Brown to give Carr a proven gamer but I don't have to think about Quentin Nelson very long to change mind.

Genie rules would have me f-ing up the wish to end up with 80 year old Alan Page in a white wig and judicial robes out there.

Plug and play someone in their current form - Quentin Nelson followed by Kyle Hamilton, pretty big drop from there IMO.

Fuller was the first name that came to my mind for whatever reason.

The second was Justin Tuck. With some luck of the Irish, he takes NIL money for a fourth year as well.

Maybe it's a little unconventional, but give me Benjamin Morrison, Jeff Burris, or Shane Walton. The only real weakness on the defense is potentially CB2. Rather than trying to improve the offense, let's just have a defense that allows zero points.

FTW all in with Joe Montana. Sit Carr's ass down. The Irish would never be out-scored.

Rocket Ismail anyone!!! Him and Tim Brown were way better than any “modern” WRs by leaps and bounds. T. Brown was the last Irish Heisman winner and retired from the NFL second for almost all WR records behind only Jerry Rice. Rocket was a human highlight real and would have been the last Heisman winner if he would have come back for another year.
