As a Habs fan…. NopeBro, even Habs fans have to feel for Leafs fans at this point,….
At last Bawt-stain is gone.
I knew when the Pirates won a game without registering a hit that the Pens were somehow doomed.
Looking forward to when camp breaks in the summer for the NFL. Damn it, anyway.
Pretty wild the Leafs go from 18th in penalties called in reg season, to having the most PIM's by 20 in the playoffs. Guess they just became dirtier overnight. The disallowed goal was a joke, would have been fine if it was disallowed and the first TB goal was taken back too.Big love for my Bolts!... Love to see me some Leaf fans crying. Apparently its the worst reffing they have every seen. Just like last year an the year before that and the 30 years before that. Batman (as uncle Joe called him) needs to investigate the poor officiating the Leafs get.
If my Pens would have been/stayed healthy,… oh well.Rangers would be working miracles to get to Game 5 if they play like they did against the Pens

Oh well, lost to a great team.
If you don't call interference on this goal -Lmao that’s interference 100/100 times
If you don't call interference on this goal -
You don't call it on Tavares'. Simple as that. You can't pick and choose when the rules apply.
Holl pulled up and fell lol, there's no shot if he's setting a pick he pulls up and falls over. Cirelli was already a non-factor before Holl got in there.Completely different situations and you either know that and just trolling or you don’t know hockey. That’s a board battle in the Paul goal, Holl set an open ice pick that led directly to an immediate shot on net. Not even in the realm of similar

Appreciate the level headed analysis you're able to provide, and ability to have such thick skin to counter points.Oh okay so you don’t know the game, got it

Glad you ate a snickers.Sorry but your counterpoints of ‘a board battle is the same as an open ice pick play’ and ‘Holl didn’t mean to skate into Cirelli so therefore he can’t be penalized for picking someone off’ shows you clearly do not grasp the rules of the game
So allow me to explain why you’re wrong!
*puts referees hat on*
Cirelli is skating in an established skating lane, on Tavares the puck carrier’s hip, Holl skates into Cirelli’s established lane knocking him off of it leading to a direct and immediate scoring opportunity. Whether Holl meant to do it or not is 100% irrelevant and this call gets made 100/100 times regardless of the level of play
Level-headed enough for ya?
Glad you ate a snickers.
The puck had already left the vicinity of Nylander along the boards, and he was held while the Tampa player skated by him. Interference or holding whichever you want, it was a penalty. My problem is not necessarily that the Holl penalty happened, but the inconsistency by the refs. Call both or neither.
The first Paul goal shouldn't have gone in, Campbell should have stopped it. Cirelli didn't have a prayer of stopping Tavares. Refs impacted the series and specifically game 7. It is what is with a mickey mouse league.
I am SHOCKED a Leafs fan thinks the refs impacted the series when the Toronto powerplay with a 60 goal MVP on it goes 0/4 in the two most important games of their lives. Where was 34? 16? 88? How many opportunities did TO have to score in late in G6 AND OT? How many opportunities did they have to score late in G7? Ample in each and they ran into a superior defensive team and inhuman goaltender. Holl had a great front row view of Point crashing the net on the OT winner. Rielly did his best ‘NHL22 controller disconnected’ impression by literally stopping his skating as Paul goes right by him and pokes it in. Brodie has an opportunity to body Paul off the puck on his second goal and instead watches him snizz Campbell below the blocker. The Leafs’ defense has been a JOKE for how long?? And yet it’s still the officiating you complain about? Come on now.
Tampa had better xG and CF% in 3/4 wins, and game seven only went TO’s way because they fired everything at Vasilevskiy the final 30 minutes of clock.
The better team won, fair and square
When Tampa has a 21 min differential in PIM's when they had the second most PIM's in the regular season, I guess all of a sudden they became cleaner. Tampa got 56% of the calls lol. Almost 50 less hits than Tampa too.
Leafs had slightly better stats across the board, with the exception of rebound shots above expected that Tampa capitalized on. It was a tight series that had unfortunate breaks.
Great series, glad you're able to enjoy it with grace.
Ah yes, the Leafs known for their toughness and violence.Maybe your coach (who was completely outcoahced in the last two games) shouldn’t have prepared his team to be borderline violent? Once again done in by their own hand yet the only finger pointing is outwards. And you wonder why people laugh at your fanbase?
Ah yes, the Leafs known for their toughness and violence.
They played very well, and ended up with better stats than Tampa. Hockey is an incredibly random game. I never said reffing was the only thing, preconceived notions of another fan are quite something.
People laugh at the fanbase because it's the largest, and has a ton of morons who spout insane shit. The team chocked in hilarious fashion last year and deserves all the lol's possible. Watching fanbases take laps that the Leafs lost says a lot more about the insecurity some have.
I wouldn't have said either team was better defensively than the other. Especially not the team that was behind the other in corsi/fenwick/xG/less shot attempts and made 50 more hits than the other team. They did capitalize and generate better rebound stats though, so I guess in terms of net presence, yes Tampa played better.Your coach said it during the leadup, and the team listened as Clifford gets 5/gamed 7 minutes into the series (there’s 5 of your 21 extra PIM btw)
They scored one more goal than Tampa (even after sprinting out to a 5-0 aggregate). One team was deeper, better defensively and that’s why they won the series
