Going to see the Stanley Cup tomorrow at a season ticket holder event. Kings open camp on Friday. First preseason games are right around the corner.

I am really looking forward to seeing the banner raised October 8th. And the fact that the Sharks will have to watch it happen makes it that much sweeter!

Let's get this season underway!!! Gonna be fun watching another banner go up at Staples tonight. Poor Sharks have to endure watching that tonight knowing the blew a 3 games to none lead. NICE!!!

Not sure what to expect from the Canadiens but i am excited to watch this team this year. Lots of responsibility on the youth.

Already want to freak out! Stasny hurt due to a cheap shot! Gerardi will get his next period via Reaves!

Not the best game for the Hawks but a W is a W.

P.S. Patrick Kane is the filthiest player in the league.

Yea, hockey in one of the worst sports city in America is a bad proposition. I know one city up north that would love to fill those seats every game.

Hartford and Quebec come to mind.
I'm a casual hockey fan at best but I don't think that we'll ever see the Whalers again. There's just not enough population between Boston and New York to support a startup franchise. Folks' loyalties in the state of Connecticut are either with Boston teams or New York teams. I would feel inconsistent if I started supporting the Sox, Pats, Celtics, and... Whalers.

Yeah they'll never go to Hartford again. Hopefully the Panthers move but i won't hold my breath.

Team just needs some success. Look at Chicago years ago

Eh, Chicago was a special case. Wirtz senior was an all-time terrible owner and the Hawks had a long history of success and fan support in Chicago before the late 90's/early 2000's. I also don't think it ever got to sub 10,000 people levels, I remember going to lots of games with 12-16,000 though.

Miami is not a good sports market in general and it's a god awful market for hockey.
