Bergeron is probably the most underrated player in the league (yes I know he got some love with the Selke).

He will probably be the next number retired(they don't retire em that often). He won't ever play for another team and as someone who has watched him since he was drafted, I'm certainly ecstatic about it.

Nice-to be in theUC when the Blackhawks win it. Pretty slick move.

Tell me he gets his money back if there isn't a game 7 though.?

Marian Hossa misses Chicago Blackhawks morning skate - chicagotribune.com

Psyched for tonight. I'm excited to see if this lineup can break through. I like the changes. Gotta change up the top lines to get some production, but get the third and fourth lines back to how they were against the Kings, when they were great.

Particularly a third line of Saad-Shaw-Stalberg. Creates speed and effort in an attempt to throw pucks at the net. Perfect kind of lines for the desperate effort that is needed.

We'll see how long Q goes with 88-19-29. Kane and Toews play together sometimes but rarely the whole game. Maybe Kane can raise Toews' level, who I seriously believe could be hurt. It's just hard to believe he's been this consistently bad.

Like Sharp-Handzus-Hossa, but I worry that the line will be slowed down by Handzus. Still, it's a line that should have enough offensive veteran punch that can combine with some defensive stopping power to get the Hawks back on track.

The Hawks needed to get back to the drawing board a little bit, but the main problem is effort and execution. Get pucks on net, outwork Boston on the forecheck, and try to skate the puck in on the powerplay and work the puck from the back of the net on out. Look for passing/shooting lanes that way instead of the little dance near the blue line. Hawks really need to get their forecheck working - it's the key to their puck possession style. That comes with effort, which was sorely lacking in Game 3.

I still can't believe the Hawks are in the finals with Michal freaking Handzus as their 2nd line center.

Crazy because that was a glaring weakness since Andrew Ladd left and particularly the last two years. I figured coming into this season that it would be the downfall of the team. Then all of the stars clicked at the same time and had especially strong regular seasons and somewhat postseasons as well.

Having said that, the weakness there is showing now. Bolland never developed into that role and has actually regressed to a 4th line center now. They have some young guys but its definitely a need to be addressed going forward. I'd be happy with shifting Sharp back to C if only to take faceoffs there, but then again Handzus' strength is supposed to be FO. It's a difficult call because it's not like shifting Sharp to C does you any favors unless you knock Handzus down to the third or fourth line and put Shaw at wing.

God I hope the Hawks pull this out.

Well tonight will be pretty telling on what's to come. That place is going to be a hornets nest all night, gotta weather the storm with an early goal.

No vbookie tonight. :(

Good Blackhawks have been awful in vbookie games.

Game 1 no vbook, Blackhawks win

Game 2 and 3 had a vbook, Bruins win

In the Red Wings series

Vbook for games 2, 3, and 4 Red Wings win all 3

No vbookie in games 5, 6, and 7 Blackhawks comeback from 3-1 and win the series

If the Blackhawks pull it out tonight I'll be requesting no vbookie for the rest of the way.

Crowds back into it.

Got to clear that puck there and didn't do it. Paid the price for it.

Uggggh. What was Saad falling over for? Great start before that. They deserved a break after hitting the post anyways.

Hey!! Toews has finally arrived!

And it's official: B fans can quit complaining about goals off of skates from game one. That was unbelievable.

Great series so far.

Both NBA and NHL series have been AWESOME.

Such a great June for sports enthusiasts. Those two series, combined with USA soccer, have made practically every night something to look forward to.
