That's not how it works, dawg. You can't keep Aaron Rodgers. He was drafted in the second round. It doesn't matter if he was dropped and then you picked him up as a free agent, he still counts as a second round pick.

I thought I got lucky after someone dumped him.

The 10th round grade only applies to guys that were undrafted, otherwise they hold their value... which makes total sense.

This is my first keeper league. Chalk it up to noob.

Good news on Will Fuller. See this post from Gattaca:

It's a 15th round, not a 10th. Maybe mod the OP to avoid further confusion.

Ironman please confirm that you still wish to keep Jordan Reed. He was on you post declaring your keepers, but not kept on your team page. I only ask because he's listed as questionable.

Junkhead the numbers you gave me were all the players draft positions from last season, not their cost this year. Just confirm if you could that you are ok with keeping Melvin Gordon for a 4th, Michael Crabtree for a 5th, and Matthew Stafford for a 10th.

Onto draft order. I'm almost positive I didn't use a generator and just let yahoo randomize it. I thought it happened when I set the draft date and time but apparently it happens 30 minutes prior to the draft according to the league home page.

Seeing as the order it's set as now is random I'm just going to keep it as that. Doesn't seem to make sense to change everything up 30 minutes prior to the draft if the order we've already seen was random.

That being said the order will go as follows:

It will be snaking. So Wiz will have 12 and 13, O'phile will have 11 and 14, ect, ect..

Also just a brain fart on my part when I wrote out the keeper rules, but UDFA's should be a 15th not a 10th. Idk why I was thinking we only had 10 rounds?

Let me know if this changes anything for anyone. I will adjust accordingly. As it stands we are good to go.

Can someone figure out how much Shakedown needs to be paid for being regular season champ? I can't find the post where we outlined the payment percentages. Also, we need to agree on what to do with the lack of payment by bkess. I feel like 20 bucks should be taken from 1st and 10 each from 1st regular season and runner up playoffs. If he ever pays up that money will be paid back out.

BKess my man, we have been patient about this but I think it's at the point where you gotta be booted from the league next year. If you can access the internet you can make payment.

I've got a lot of potential keepers depending on rosters next year. Michael Thomas, Ajayi, Garropolo, Kenyan Drake, Jordan Howard, Sterling Shepherd, Hunter Henry, Corey Davis. So we'll see. Plus I made some trades at the end of the season to move up in the draft.

Okay here's what I found in the 2015 thread.

I also vote that we get rid of the IR spot since this is a keeper league. If you want to draft someone that's already out for the year so you can stash them you shouldn't be able to just put them on the IR.

There should be a stronger disadvantage to stashing.

Also there should be 6 playoff teams IMO. Top 2 get byes. Pot of $240 dollars could be split 80 for regular season winner, 120 for playoffs winner, and 40 for playoffs second place. This keeps the regular season valuable while giving 6 teams a shot at the other part of the pot. And of course the top 2 also get the ever valuable byes.

So going forward

1/3 to regular season winner.
50% to playoffs
Remainder to second place (playoffs)

So with $40 per player this season that would mean....

Regular season winner: $160 (Shakedown)

Playoff champion: $240

Playoff runner up: $80

Correct?

I'm so phucked in the championship. Leonard Fournette and Joe Mixon are my two RBs and they're also probably the two biggest question marks in the league right now. My only hope is that Zeke has a big WTF game in his return. I'm also not sure if it helps me or hurts me that I have TB12 and Shake has Gronk.

If we open it up to discussion, I'd be in favor of eliminating the payout for regular season champ. Seems unnecessary to double-reward with a payout and a first round bye.
