Well, looks like Monday will be bloody for some NFL coaches. Here is the list that I am thinking is gone:

1. Andy Reid
2. Romeo Crennel
3. Pat Shurmur
4. Norv Turner
5. Chan Gailey

Could be gone:
1. Lovie Smith
2. Mike Mularkey
3. Ron Rivera

I also expect the talk of Chip Kelly to the NFL will increase next week as well. What do you think?

If the Bears don't make the playoffs, Lovie is gone. Even if they do, he might be gone if they lose in the first round. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mularkey, but would be slightly surprised to see Rivera go. The others - they're goners.

My issue is - who're going to take their jobs? I think talk of Saban to Cleveland (or other teams, even) will heat up for sure.

This. I know he's publicly said he's not interested but that's what Saban does (see MSU, LSU, Miami Dolphins). The alleged 10 yr $100M offer to Saban may tempt him and college football will get A LOT cleaner overnight.

Word is that Carolina is finally going to hire a GM which could make Rivera toast if that hire does not go his way.

I also heard Reid will be wanted for numerous jobs. As usual, I am expecting some other recycled names.

This I don't understand. If ever a coach needed a year off, it's Reid.

From Cleveland? What absolute lunacy on their part. And I thought Payton's new contract was crazy.

I'm hearing Gruden is interviewing for all of these jobs

Yea, that would be nuts. Plus, that would but him at something like 72 years old when the contract would expire. I don't see this as a real offer.

John Grudens name comes up for every job and I think he loves his sweet TV gig, but I think he might end up back with the Raiders or the Bears job would catch his eye.

REid won't get fired Monday. The higher ups have way to much respect for him. Most likely will be a mid week press conference. IMO we'll get Chip Kelly.

I would LOVE to see Cleveland grab Saban. Not because I care if the Browns go 0-16 or 16-0, just to get him out of college football!

In all reality though, Alabama will be the favorites for 2013 and Saban has a Miami-esque run going on right now. He's 61, rebuilding Cleveland (albeit with a ton of young talent) probably isn't how he wants to spend the last few years of his career. He could stay at Alabama and retire at 70 with four, five...six titles? No one knows, but it's a chance at immortality and he won't get that in Cleveland.

At 61 he's set in his ways and I don't see the Browns dropping their current payroll accounting service in favor of having large envelopes of cash delivered by anonymous people.

Just said on ESPN's NFL Gameday that the Lions have talked about canning Schwartz, despite his contract.

They also so Bill O'Brien is likely on a couple teams' short list, and that he might be interested because he was told by PSU when hired that the Sandusky situation was a criminal matter and not an NCAA matter.

I hope O'Brien is as full of character as he seems to be. After dodging a commitment to PSU for next year, he came out at the end of the season and definitely said he'd be there. I'm not a huge PSU fan, but I couldn't help but root for this guy and the players that stayed. Hope he stays.

As another local guy, I feel the exact same way. He honored those seniors all season long out of respect for their devotion and dedication to the team and to the university. And you know that 2012 recruits were told the same things he was about the potential for sanctions. So I, too, hope he is as advertised and stays. If he leaves, I'd imagine lots of players will be gone too since they still have this offseason to transfer without penalty. That could set Penn State much further back than anyone could've imagined even six months ago.

I won't be surprised if Andy Reid stays.

If bears miss playoffs, lovie might go. a total collapse this season

garrett out if cowboys lose today.

norv turner gone probably.
