...Not sure how Rex survived...
Did the owner give him some type of assurrance that new GM has to keep him for at least one year?
If not we still don't know yet.

I'M OKAY WITH THE BEARS FIRING LOVIE SMITH. I HAVE TO SAY THOUGH, BEARS YOU BETTER GET THIS RIGHT! YOU JUST FIRED A SOLID COACH. NOT A GREAT COACH. BEARS FANS KNOW LOVIE HAD SOME FLAWS. THAT BEING SAID YOU COULD DO WORSE THAN LOVIE SMITH AS YOUR HEAD COACH. PHIL EMRY YOU BETTER GET THIS HIRE RIGHT!
You generally do the opposite of what you did before when hiring a coach in any sport. So if Lovie was defense guy then wisdom suggests the Bears will go for some hot shot OC. That too me is a mistake. We need to improve the offense while continuing to have a top flight defense. We need a coach that will excel on both sides of the ball.

With Lovie getting fired, I am hopeful that the next coach drops the Tampa two, a pass catching TE is drafted, putting a legitimate #2 receiver on the field instead of a group of #3 receivers and 1 true receiver (Marshall), better/younger defense and most importantly, the drafting of an offensive line. Although, most of the blame should go towards Angelo for his horrific drafting, I am very surprised because the McCaskey's respect and love Lovie, not to mention the fact that they are very Cheap. It has been mentioned that they are looking for a better OC to bring in for the offense as a priority.
Also, reports of Chip having serious interest in Philly...
The GM Tannenbaum was fired but they kept Rex... I believe Tebow will get cut...Did the owner give him some type of assurrance that new GM has to keep him for at least one year?

Charles Tillman?I know... It's such a drag leading the league in forced turnovers.
Ryan needs to go. His type of coaching style is a quick short term fix that fades after 2-3 years as evidenced by the results.
They might as well keep garret in Dallas. As long as Jones continues to be hands on and call all the shots the Cowboys will languish in mediocrity..
Charles Tillman?

Its hard to dispute your points but I'll try... There's a pattern with the recievers:Is Tillman also the reason they have more forced turnovers than any nfl team over the last nine seasons? Tillman hasnt even been a dominant player until last season.
The Bears have had one of the most dominant and consistent defenses in football over the last nine seasons, so I simply don't understand the logic of naming it first in things to change. I don't agree with your comments about the WR's either. It's probably the most talented group of WR's the Bears have had since the 80's (maybe even longer).
In my opinion, the Bears problems lie first and foremost on the terrible offensive line. They have both been terribly drafted, devoloped and coached. Secondly, the team has aged too far. Guys like Urlacher are killing our ability to pay other guys and they aren't even on the field consistently.
I agree with the decision, despite my admiration of Lovie, but defensive scheme is the very lowest concern I could possibly have.

2008
The top 3 receivers were Devin Hester 51 catches for 665 yards, Greg Olsen 54 catches for 574 yards and Matt Forte 63 catches for 477 yards.
In 2010, Knox, grabbed 51 passes for 1,068 , Bennett caught 50 passes for 619 yards,Hester, a return specialist, caught 42 balls for 486 yards, R. Williams...No comment.
2012
Brandon Marshall 118 catches 1,508 yards, Matt Forte 44 catches 340 yards, Earl Bennett 29 catches 375 yards,
Alshon Jeffery 24 catches 367 yards, Devin Hester 23 catches 242 yards, Kellen Davis 19 catches 229 yards.
In Super Bowl XLI, Urlacher and the entire defense wanting to continue blitzing Peyton and the Colts (slight rambling) because Peyton seemed rattled but he was over-ruled and Rivera was made the scapegoat... (I blame the coach) That being said, its hard to argue defensive stats.

Jerry Jones is the next Al Davis. No one who has a monster ego will ever set foot near that mess.
what vacancy do you guys think Cowher ends up at?
