It is, will be and should be Kelly... But if it's anyone else it has to be Patterson. ( kind of silly really, no chance a change is made)

There isn't a fanbase for a team with championship aspirations in the country that would put up with a 5th year like this one. I don't see what is so ridiculous about believing there are better options out there than a coach who has had his team devolve since his third year.

I think there will be staff changes but Kelly will be back like he should be. He will have a warm seat though, not from sitting in it either.

Seriously? Nobody had championship aspirations coming into the year. The team overachieved for 7 games then came back down to earth, couple with injuries this is the team everyone thought we were getting. This fanbase is so fuckin bipolar its unbelieveable.

Yeah and there's a problem when a 7 win season is expected in a coach's fifth year like that. 7 or 8 wins is what you get from Kelly most of the time. Being really lucky happened in 2012. Besides that we haven't had a notable year under Kelly.

In fairness losing five of the last six and barely beating Navy isn't " coming back down to earth"... just like no one thought we were that good to start the season, no one thought we were this bad either

Fair enough. What i mean is basically things averaged out and this team is record wise where a lot of people thought they'd be.

Nobody expected this year's schedule to be so easy as well. We played two teams that were worth a damn: FSU and Arizona State. Besides that we had easy wins across the board.

I picked 7-5 at the start of the season... Never thought they'd look this bad.

You keep saying it shouldn't have been expected, but you can't act like it is all Kelly's fault. We went 3-9, 6-6, and 6-6 in the years proceeding Kelly. I mean, are you freaking kidding me? We were BAD. Then this year we already have a thin defense, lose 5 more to suspension, and then some horribly unlucky injuries and you want to pin it all on Kelly?

Oh, and stop saying that the 2012 season was just luck. We took care of the fucking football and played good fundamental defense. You don't just do that shit by luck.

That was 7 years ago when we won 3 games. The freshmen on this team were in middle school. We have had more than enough time to rebuild from that. We lost to Northwestern, we snuck by Navy and North Carolina, are about to lose worse to USC than Weis ever did. We stuck with a rattled QB too long and our gameplan on both ends makes no sense.

2012 had a good defense that feasted on a weak schedule and was exposed in the title game. We snuck by a bunch of bad teams and were incredibly lucky to win the Pitt game, which a really good team would have won easily. Te'o, a Weis recruit, carried that defense. That team was just like this year's FSU team.

We weren't that bad in 09'. We lost all six games by a total of 28 points and never by more than 7. Weis had also recruited pretty well. Not like Kelly had to come into a decimated program.
