Who is hiring the coach? Freeman, or Swarbrick? Swarbrick hired Rees, and appears to be hiring his replacement.

2 people on this board not only understand F1, but enough so that they're posting analogies on it.

That's my biggest WTF in this thread.
I saw the movie where Thor and the Nazi war hero from Inglorious Basterds were drivers. It was based on a true story. Pretty good. Prettaaay prettay pretty good.

Why? He’s failed upwards to be TEs coach of a third year Michael Mayer and then OC of a fully loaded Notre Dame with Sam Hartman as his QB.

If Marcus had not hired him last year, he would likely have been still at WVU or looking for another mid level program to hire him as WRs Coach.

It would be more about nobody really even giving him a chance. He's starting out in the hole through no fault of his own, because of how the search and other candidates were handled.

Hell, the dude was with his buddy Freeman AT THE HOCKEY GAME where the previous candidate was photographed in public, seemingly because everyone thought it was a done deal.

Now your good friend is basically coming to you, saying "hey I know I wanted that other guy to run the offense, but since that didn't work out, you're my backup-backup-backup option. Please don't fuck up our offense."

Whether Parker deserved his 'promotion' to ND from WVU is irrelevant. The circumstances of his elevation to OC, and negative reactions that are guaranteed every time a play doesn't gain 5+ yards, will be held against him.

JS = Denethor
Parker = Faramir

Denethor is sending Faramir to his death, even though everyone knows it's a bad situation. You don't NEED to willingly send this undermanned guy into such a bad situation, but the guy calling the shots is blind to how shitty and morale-reducing the order is.

Would Swarbrick be AD here, or anywhere else, if he had not gone to ND? We might also ask this question about other people who supposedly are making hiring decisions over the head coach.

I will note that in this scenario, MFMF is absolutely Gandalf.

He's gonna have to head coach the shit out of this situation and save Parker's ass. Gonna ride in on Shadowfax with the bright light coming from his staff in the fourth quarter of the USC game, when the offense has failed but the defense can preserve a low-scoring win against an elite USC offense.

Then he's gotta find his Aragorn to take the offensive throne, and then lead a sortie at the Black Gate against UGA in next year's National Championship, winning against all hope.

I guess Driskell found out Salty Peanuts or Charlie Weis’s Last Belt Loop is actually Savvyy Jack after he unmasked himself to Coach Dew on a midnight call and got him back on the ND Homer Reservation. My new found love for Coach Built Bars lasted less than 24 hours…. C’est La vie-

There's also the fact that if he gets promoted we still have to hire two more coaches. There's also the fact spring ball is right around the corner.

What GA's can we poach from our own program. We could afford the buyout I assume for a GA.
