CJ Carr should go elsewhere if we internally promote Parker. That’s the guy you’re going to trust with your 5 star talent?

This would be my #2 biggest concern if we hire Parker.

My #1 is that Hartman somehow finds a way to bail. I don't know if that's impossible at this point in time or not, but why the heck would he want to stay around for Parker?

I am not happy about what's transpired in the last 24 hours in this thread but the overreactions in this thread are pretty wild in the context of it being about a 60 year old OC who's never had a top 10 offense.
I think it goes well beyond the 60 year old OC, it goes to ND's intent. The fact is ND is built upon nothing but words of ambition, and very little action. Sure they will make a move occasionally but in general they are happy at 9-4. I am not a BK fan, but he is right about ND.

100% agreed- I probably should have elaborated better. For someone that isn't a diehard, they have no clue about Ludwig or what has transpired. Mass emailing/calling/letters/boycotts sparked by a 60 year old OC not getting the job just looks wild. My dad is an alum and big fan. If I tried explaining the situation he'd have no clue what I am talking about.

Just pulled up the original 247 thread on Parker’s hire. I questioned it and asked Tom what I’m missing on why they moved quickly to hire him. No response.

Now a year later we are getting a piece on why he deserves to be OC sent down from the higher ups. Can’t make that up.

If we hire Parker it would be such a lazy and cheap move. And I will be compelled to scream loudly into the void on twitter and send angry texts to my group chats. I might even write an email! At minimum I will request to speak to the manger, if that doesn't get me anywhere I'll go straight to the Pope and demand an audience.

But seriously, next time they call me for a donation I'm going to say "I totally understand not spending $4M on an OC from Utah. It's an inefficient use of funds. How many WRs did you buy with the money you saved?" And then when they say "no one, we consider Matt Salerno running fade routes against Ohio State a winning strategy" I will politely hang up the phone.
BINGO!

It's always entertaining to watch such small intellects critique someone as brilliant as Swarbrick. Most of you are firmly entrenched in the fuckin hoi polloi, the only difference between you winging children and the rest of us is that we know it.

I'm going to wait until the dust settles before feigning or showing true outrage because it's pointless but I really appreciate the comedy on an otherwise boring day of virtual meetings.

Can one of you do the thing where you explain how you're going to stop caring? or tell me how you won't give no mo monies? Or maybe someone could level it up a notch and do somethin big time that'll change the trajectory of the program? Maybe spark a movement?

I’m not freaking out yet. There are a lot of great minds out there that would love to work with our O talent. The O line coach hire is just as important for this program too.

Doesn't take a genius to critique someone who helped protect people who were directly and indirectly responsible for sexually abusing kids and then tries to whitewash it by scrubbing his bio. But then some of us also aren't interested in being an enabler like you appear to be.

Also, it's "whinging," not winging. But I don't expect you to know the difference.

They don't really care if they sell out all the games. They made that statement when the streak ended. The addition of the premium seating and boxes means they still come out ahead from a revenue standpoint.
So when people who can afford premium seating and boxes get fed up, then there is consequences.

So it goes.

Not sure this is the reasoning, but I do see a path where Harry hanging it up opens the door for other options that were not available previously. ND was pigeonholed by needing an OC and QB coach. That's no longer the case and there could be more at play here.

That being said, i am all for calling out ND for being cheap.

Hey Jack, nice of you to come on here so our small intellects can easily reach you. Is this like an Ask Me Anything type thread, or will you just provide the spin on this story without our provocation?
