I'm really curious if this was a money grab by Klein; either hoping to snatch a big payday at ND or at the very least leverage a raise at KState. If the reports are true he's making "only" $600K, could be some teeth to that.

I was coming around to the idea from those that shared the highlights of his offense, but we'll be fine. Trusting in Freeman and the process.

Why not just hire Streeter than for OC?

He was OC at a high level for one year and got fired.

But as a QB Coach and recruiter, the man is a 5 star QB gold mine and got punished for one miss. If he just keeps landing elite QBs the odds it goes badly in a QB Coach role is pretty low.

I just hope Klein leveraged us for a raise back home. If so, good on him. There's a lot of good candidates here.

Doesn't make sense because Klein is at KSU, where NIL is non-existent.

It's more than likely Klein wanted to bring his own guys. If he wants to bring guys in for roles currently held by Harry, Chansi and Deland, that would be a deal breaker.

Klein has been an OC for like 30 seconds. At Kansas State, the only place he has ever worked. What "guys" would he have who'd be better than our guys? Who on offense were all brought in - by Freeman - a year ago, and are killing it thus far.

But, yeah, "fit" could mean any of a dozen things they didn't see eye to eye on. OK. There will be others.
