Not sure it would need to have anything to do with Allar.

Even if Allar is a quality prospect, that could be a 2-3 year process. Hartman is already that guy. With an elite OL and running game. Like all the ND writers have posited already. This is a very coveted position for reasons that have nothing to do with a True Sophomore QB.
Agreed. Also, we talked a lot about Rees’s move not being a lateral move. Well this wouldn’t be a lateral move either.

PSU is loaded at RB, probably has better WRs, returns I think 4 OL including a 1st rounder like Alt. Allar is his gem that his tenure at PSU rides on. He shouldn’t want to go lateral right now. It would be odd to do so. It was somewhat in jest, but he’s got a full cupboard at PSU. Resetting your coaching clock is a move that coaches that want to retain their good name do.

Leaving would 100% draw that question from many combined with how annoying is James Franklin truly.
One of the leading passers in ACC history or any True Sophomore QB. It really could have nothing to do with it.

I am still throwing up at the visual of the big A on the Alabama jet on the South Bend Airport tarmac.

ND needs to get a gold just w a Green Shamrock

It definitely had a 'welcome to the big time, Tommy' vibe to it.

I hated it too.

They are, but it sounds like only 10 can be on the road. The 11th coach can't travel to recruit
Which makes it attractive IMO. Can you imagine all the G5 assistants wanting to jump on that? More pay, better facilities, better talent, no recruiting on the road?

"Colorado play-caller Sean Lewis, Utah's Andy Ludwig and Kansas State's Collin Klein are the candidates who have received the most extensive attention from the Irish, per sources with direct knowledge among multiple involved parties."

"...sources indicated Freeman had "communicated with" more than 10 potential coordinators."

"Klein was in South Bend, Indiana, both Wednesday evening and into Thursday before flying back to Kansas State"

"Big 12 sources late Thursday told FootballScoop that the Irish's personal interactions with Klein were the deepest, from Klein's interactions with Freeman to his time talking football with Notre Dame's offensive coaching staff."

So, Freeman and Klein have the same agent…

That certainly reads like, if one were to handicap a clubhouse leader, Klein would be it.
Could mean an agent connected them and Freeman liked Klein enough to hire him.

Could mean that the agent is using one client to get another client a raise and an extension.

Just maybe Freeman likes Rees’s style. We did go 9-2 after the disastrous start.

Just watched a Klein press conference. Kid says “you know” about a million times. Not sure what that says about his intellect but dang that’s one hell of a nervous tick.
