It’s like every time I login there’s like three new pages,… what’s the doom and gloom? Legit guys saying no? Or we think legit guys might be saying no?? Or is it nothing yet and we are just in panic mode by default bc We Are ND!

Tired: A jet from State College is in town because Mike Yurcich is interviewing for OC.

Wired: A jet from State College is in town because James Franklin is here to support his former WR coach, Gerad Parker as Marcus prepares to offer him the OC job.
Sean Clifford is interviewing for the QB coaching job in the new Parker offense

No one said no so far except Brian Johnson. And if you truly believed a guy who has a great chance to be an NFL OC was going to take the same job at ND with far more responsibilities and less pay, then bless your heart.. .
Exactly. Plus, we need someone who isn't just going to pick up and leave after like five or six years. Once you go Freeman World Order, you're FWO....4 life.

I’ll believe it when the gold jet drops in to whatever airport to pick someone up. We do have a gold jet, right?

The Yurcich one was a flight into Midway, feels like a stretch to assume.

But a flight to and from Manhattan, Kansas and South Bend at the same time as the Klein news seems incredibly unlikely to be a coincidence.

From what I saw, looks like it was State College to South Bend but was diverted to Midway

If Yurcich jumps from PSU to ND now, he probably knows Allar isn’t any good and is resetting his clock.

PSUs shortcomings have been washed away as a Clifford problem mostly.

I dont know a lot about Yurich. Would this move the needle?

Ok State was his longest and most successful run. Short time at OSU but successful with Fields. Short time at Texas and mixed bag with Ehlinger. Now at PSU and mixed bag with Clifford.

Known as a QB guy. Recruiter. PSU has never really consistently figured out the run game under him. He leans on the Balanced - Air Raidy side.

Didn’t they kind of do that this year though? The two freshmen both had pretty good seasons. Finished a few yards short of where ND was at this past season in terms of team rushing.

I think Singleton is that good and hit a lot of home runs on pure talent, but I don’t think down to down their OL/run game was that good still. They couldn’t run a lick versus Michigan. Improved for sure.

As of Week 13 they were 89th in Rush Success but 7th in Explosiveness. ND and PSU were polar opposites, Yurcich would say the short WR screens (which he does a lot of) are an extension of the run game too.

Not sure it would need to have anything to do with Allar.

Even if Allar is a quality prospect, that could be a 2-3 year process. Hartman is already that guy. With an elite OL and running game. Like all the ND writers have posited already. This is a very coveted position for reasons that have nothing to do with a True Sophomore QB.

PSU is loaded at RB, probably has better WRs, returns I think 4 OL including a 1st rounder like Alt. Allar is his gem that his tenure at PSU rides on. He shouldn’t want to go lateral right now. It would be odd to do so. It was somewhat in jest, but he’s got a full cupboard at PSU. Resetting your coaching clock is a move that coaches that want to retain their good name do.

Leaving would 100% draw that question from many combined with how annoying is James Franklin truly.
