Well, man Klein has a thin resume.
Yea I have to agree. I would have thought a more experienced OC was in the cards. I am going to give Freeman his due... but a young guy with the same agent..... not far off from a young guy who was the QB and promoted up by the last coach and urged to be kept by the AD..... hhmmmmm not trying to compare but....

So many of those names.... Lewis, Ludwig, Johnson, Yurich seemed great.....

In all seriousness, earlier today one of the 247 KSU had a long post breaking this news of ND and Klein’s interest to the board. As part of that he wrote the below.

Finally, if Klein leaves could Avery Johnson follow? As we now know, Johnson once held Notre Dame in high regard but wound up at K-State because of Klein. So, yeah, that would be a real fear.

Im not sure I think it’s likely to happen with Minchey and Carr already committed but imagine being Avery. Rees string you along for awhile and then wanted you late. Instead you stuck with Klein and now Klein could be headed to ND. Kid can’t catch a break.

The thing is, who on the list is/was actually a candidate, and not just the result of someone pulling names out of their butt for clicks/listens?

Give me a solid reason on why you aren’t a fan. Just don’t say “he has a thin resume”

Give me something that actually shows me you understand anything about the game of football.
You are telling me he is better than the candidates we have been discussing? GMAFB fan boy.

Just watched a Klein press conference. Kid says “you know” about a million times. Not sure what that says about his intellect but dang that’s one hell of a nervous tick.
I do expert witness testimony for a living. "You know" is a nervous tick out of a lack of experience and a small amount of anxiety. TFWIW.

The Klein kid seems to have had a solid offense. Quit with the sky is falling stuff.

That’s not what I asked. I haven’t dove into him much either. But I asked you to give me a solid football reason on why you have your panties in a bunch on Collin klein.

If Klein flew back to Manhattan without every media outlet having the “top candidate has emerged” stuff like Rees, it’s probably not done. IIRC Chansi basically left town with the job after his interview.

Someone else might still have their shot to hit a walk off.

Watch his pressers. That will drive some concerns. This Notre Dame....we deserve the best. Not just an up and comer. Good fucking luck with this kid being our OC.

This hire would certainly smack of a smaller than expected check book for the hire of this position.

I mean, for all the handwringing from some on this board about the Kelly years, is this not what you signed up for? You can't hit homers unless you swing for the fences. I'm happy to have a head coach that is willing to take a risk to get us to the next level. And not just settle for "I like this guy cuz he's my buddy."

Freeman is the risk! Why take a risk at the Coordinator positions?? We need proven winners who have decent experience and world class presence to mitigate Freeman's own youth and inexperience. But I am sure most on this Board with say its a great hire. Not impressed.

I mean you clearly took that from just these last two pages of posts. Same as the agent comment. You don’t know anything about him in the slightest.

So you think this hire is at least as good as Lewis, Ludwig, Johnson or Yurich?? Seriously.....

So is he constantly saying 'You know' while trying to call plays in the box or are you saying that he's not experienced enough at fielding questions from the media and should therefore not be considered for the role of Offensive Co-ordinator?
