What type of Offense does he run?

Also: The more I watch the KSU file, I am digging this Klein guy. Shows he can adapt an offense to the players he has. I don' t know if he is my #1 yet ( I like Ludwig right now) but he is moving up.
It looks a lot like the old Baylor offense:

When I first heard Klein's name it was a quick no but after doing some research and watching some film, I wouldn't mind if he is hired.

The big caveat with the names right now though is that Freeman/ND are keeping this locked up big time. Like I wouldn't be surprised if they are actually running interference with names right now (Brian Johnson maybe?) to cover up their true intentions.

Honest question. What’s the actual point of hiding your intentions in a coaching search?

I think MF is trying to keep a tight lid on the hiring. I don't think he's engaging in counterintelligence or misdirection though. Too much time, energy, and resources to waste when he could be using those to hire a coach.

The overlap of candidates between the two remaining "bigtime" openings -- Miami and ND.

Both teams are looking at the same guys.

I hate how college coordinators have to double as position coaches, that shouldn't be allowed.

Technically they don’t have to. A lot of programs don’t have a dedicated ST coach for instance so you just have to rearrange responsibilities

Well put it this way, there are definitely no advantages to making your intentions known. There might be disadvantages, such as outside influence playing a role. Might as well keep it close to your vest.

The NCAA is going to add a coach soon, so it won't be necessary for much longer.

They are, but it sounds like only 10 can be on the road. The 11th coach can't travel to recruit

All the more reason to hire a real X’s and O’s guy as offensive coordinator. Don’t worry too much about his recruiting chops.
Then you add a QB coach who recruits.

Flight tracking SZN is afoot on the 247 board. Yurcich and Klein.

I have no idea how people find these things to verify if they make sense or are valid.

I feel like that will change eventually too. The life of a college coach these days is just getting worse. Meanwhile the NFL guys are sitting on their high horse laughing at the NIL deals and year round recruiting.

I don't really understand the limit on coaches on the road. Limit the total number of coaches, analysts, and GAs to something like 25. Then let them do what they need to do.

Maybe, but I think having the OC sitting across from you in your living room holds a lot of water.
