You’d surely ask for a reference off Santa.Callahan would be a great hire. Rudolph depends on who you ask.

Luke has turned down every other opportunity to even just interview anywhere. The fact he did at ND says a lot. If family is really his priority, I don't blame him one bit for not wanting to move to South Bend when his sons are entering high school and middle school. Sometimes things aren't all that complicated for why ND misses.
great break pads!I want Callahan because of Tommy Callahan.
ND’s coaching searches this offseasonI want Callahan because of Tommy Callahan.
this is the ideal form of an o-line coach
Callahan would be a very good hire.
Would really like Callahan.
Why the love?Callahan would be a very good hire.
I'd take Callahan out of the second tier.
I think he's done a good job with much less. Why the love?
Easier to recruit at ND though. Right? As long as he's developing the talent MF can pick up the load in recruiting. He might be a good coach but his recruiting is blah according to 247.
I don't think that fits with what MF expects out of an assistant coach.Easier to recruit at ND though. Right? As long as he's developing the talent MF can pick up the load in recruiting.
Yes, to both. Freeman is already going to be responsible for the top of every position coaches board. At least that's been the blue print so far.Easier to recruit at ND though. Right? As long as he's developing the talent MF can pick up the load in recruiting.
Yes, perfect world, he's great at both, but right now we're entering our window for competing for a championship so I'd go with a guy that I know can develop talent and improve the lot we already have in the building with hopes that he'll amp his game up on the recruiting trail. Until then let's put more pressure on MF to take care of that end imo.I don't think that fits with what MF expects out of an assistant coach.
I think that he’s a good developer of talent and coach (especially in the run game). I’m not too convinced of his ability as a recruiter. Minnesota is definitely tough to recruit to but nothing he’s done really gives indication one way or another about how he’d recruit at ND. It's worth noting that three of their starting OLinemen were transfers this past year, including Quinn Carroll who likely would've been a third string at ND.I think he's done a good job with much less.
And, I think he's worked with Fleck who is a grinder in recruiting so he has to know what that is like. Which will likely be similar to what Freeman expects.
It's pretty brutal. Used to be amazing info and insight here. Now it's just a bunch of whinging.Clearly Notre Dame is done and will never win big again,... I know this because I can't open a thread here anymore without yall spewing end-of-world estrogen-fueled depression on every page.
Agreed. This board took a turn for the worse when people started using terms like “whinging” on the reg. It's pretty brutal. Used to be amazing info and insight here. Now it's just a bunch of whinging.
