Imagine getting a proven assistant coach with a history of championship level football to fill a hole on the coaching staff. Couldn’t be Notre Dame.

Do we think it's a HC problem or an administration problem?

Fellas if I wanted to hear constant nagging and complaining, I would have never moved out of my mom's place. You all are just incessant.
Get what you're saying, but the consistent public rejections are not good. This is now three instances of it. The fact that his family came with him and still didn't take it is not a good look.

  • Since his arrival in Madison in 2015, the Badgers averaged 212.3 rushing ypg, a mark that ranks fifth among Power Five squads. Only Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Oregon and Oklahoma were better over that seven-season span. Wisconsin averaged 4.9 yards per carry and racked up 194 rushing TDs during his tenure as the Badgers made three Big Ten Championship Game appearances.
From the VT Bio...

Neither in this case.
I agree.

That said, there’s only one more thing they do if the goal is to see how badly you can damage ND’s public perception in one offseason and doesn’t it kind of feel like that’s where it’s heading?

Well, they could pursue BVG as TE coach, and get rejected.

Really it seems like it's neither in all of these rejected offers. Ludwig buyout bullshit aside, he decided to stay home in the end. Klein has basically been in the Little Apple his whole life and decided to stay home. Luke is a year into a family sabbatical and decided to stay home.

There could be guys we didn't hear about that weren't interested due to the administration or Freeman, but as of now there is no evidence of that.

For real. This would've been an incredible coup to land Luke and would've flipped the script on the entire offseason. Instead, it creates yet another frustrating situation.

I think the fact that they got the guy to consider coming out of retirement and work in the remote midwest when he's spent his entire life in the south is impressive and not a bad look at all. I doubt he's picking up the phone or making the flight for many other teams.

Thank you for your email. To paraphrase the character Neville Flynn played by Samuel L. Jackson in one of my favorite movies, Snakes on a Plane, I have had it with your motherfucking passion in this motherfucking coaching search.

Finally, given your strong interest in Notre Dame, I encourage you to become a member of the suck it fund and GTFO.

Be Irish!

I think Rudolph would be great. From what I've gathered, he's got some recruiting chops as well. He was considered Wisconsin's top recruiter for years which can't be an easy place to recruit to.

Lloyd said he doesn't think Luke is taking it and he was trying to find out who was next in line. Seems dead.
