I agree with you. I would love to see Neutered let back in, but it is not my choice and I support the overall decisions of the mods. I am not a mod. I have not been asked to be a mod (too much pot smoking to ever hold a public office), so my only course of action is to abide by their decisions.

I guess I could take up some sort of civil disobedience. Maybe Dshans could give me some tips on how to do a sit-in or a good protest march.

Neutered has a month left on his ban and if that term is reduced it wouldn't be by much. Many of us clearly value his eccentricities and miss them in his absence. That said, this year, especially the first half of the season, has been a strain on a lot of our relationships. And that strain has cost us a few mods. I think it best we let this season wrap up so we can start fresh, let the animosity settle down a little bit.

That said, I want to thank everyone for the relative ease of keeping the site up and running during the last half of the season. Winning cures all.

I miss both of those guys for selfish reasons-we had like thoughts and they knew the inside of Notre Dame football. As a subway guy I hope they get back to sharing with us what they know. There have been times when I stopped posting because I knew I was going to embarras myself. The mods on here a doing things right. I want to here what their feelings are on making this site a positive recruiting tool.

I've got to toss my two cents in. BGIF was the first guy to welcome me and Neutered was the second. I can never forget that. I continuously admired BGIFs posts and waited for them. We're all poorer for not having him here. Neutered posts were either "funny" [ironically usually steam releasing for the rest of us] or quite knowledgeable about detailed football. [I didn't read while you guys were screaming at the TV sets, so the "problematic" posts didn't enter my consciousness].

After he was banned Neutered wrote to me, for which I am grateful. He loves ND football and, generally loves posting on this board. I suggested that maybe Jason would relent if Neutered agreed to start every post with "I'm in a Banned Mood" [so we could run for the foxholes], or "hey guys what a great day to be Irish!!" [so we could relax.] So, Jason, and I can't express enough my admiration for your stalwart work administrating [such is almost in every organization a thankless task], could we get our buddy back somehow ASAP?? Maybe have Terry follow him around with a line item "stick"?? And somehow let BGIF know that he's REALLY missed??

I will agree both posters are great, I've got into my own discussions with them. None that got heated, but honest good discussions.

Not to take anything away from the posters that are still here, but they really brought alot to this board. Probably two of the best that I have seen since I have been involved with this board.

FREE THEM BOTH!!!!! They both gave great insight. Yes NeuteredDoomer was a little crazy at times, but I liked that. BGIF was the man at in-depth Irish knowledge. We are all adults here and even though we can get carried away, I still think the ban has ran its course and let’s bring them BOTH back.

Folks, please read this before you post. Neutered is on his way back. However, the term on his ban was so decided to let the season wrap up that we can let the animosity (of which there was quite a bit) settle down and start fresh. This animosity was so strong that I risked losing another set of moderators. This is something I am not prepared to let happen, especially given that I've already lost two moderators this season to the stresses that dealing with an emotional and angry fanbase can incur.

As for BGIF, his leave is voluntary. He is welcome back at any point but has chosen not to sign onto his account since he lost his duties as a moderator (this again being a cost of animosity between poster and board staff).
