Ha ha. He sort of stated it during the on field interview before the game. Something to the effect that the QB doesn't have to do anything special, but just run the ball. I call it Tressel ball. Run the ball and have good lines. Problem is, when a QB can't pass, it affects the Oline and the running game because the defenses stack the box and dare the QB to throw it, which in this case, he can't.

I think it means he prefers to ground and pound a team on offense. Would be a lot easier to do if you had a qb who could find receivers and throw the intermediate route to keep the safeties honest.

If they’re going to tailor the offense to a running QB to the point that nobody else on the roster can run the offense then they should like maybe have a more creative run game as well?

NIU did a really good job of running out of all kinds of formations and using motion in the run game.

Tommy did a decent job trying to minimize those QBs limitations in most games. Stanford was the exception for Pyne, along with Marshall for Buchner. Feels like Denbrock is trying to pass too much with Leonard which doesn't seem to be his strong suit, instead of leaning on the strong stable of backs.

He’s making the rounds as he should. He was on DP this week as well. Dude was in danger of being fired this season. The win over ND is like a call from the Governor.

Finally forced myself to listen to the Irish Illustrated podcast. I've never heard them so openly down on Freeman. They wouldn't come out and say it but it's obvious they think it's only a matter of time at this point.

I told myself I won’t listen until/if they beat Louisville and head into their bye with just 1 loss

Id recommend it cause there is also the part where they mention that sources told them that Angeli did not have a good practice week leading up to Purdue.
