8. Notre Dame: The Irish's loss to Tennessee last Monday seemed to shout something that had been simmering under the surface for a while: Notre Dame isn't quite what we thought it was. Irish teams of recent years wouldn't blow a lead like that to what has been an inconsistent Lady Vols team. Is it chemistry? Is there a leadership void? Is the effort steady enough? The Irish remain elite. They just don't appear to be No. 1 seed material at this point -- and that is an uncharacteristic place for them to be.

BGIF you seem to follow this team more than anyone on this site. Are there some issues you see or were the expectations too high? I have not been able to catch many games, but the ones I have seen Turner seemed to disappear and be a nonfactor through long stretches and Ogunbowale seemed to force a lot of shots/drives that weren't there. Seems like the team isn't as cohesive as past teams. Maybe I just have caught some bad games. Would be interested in your thoughts. Hoping for a final four appearance again.

Fun game to be three rows off the floor with the whole family for $4 per seat. Much better outcome than the NC State game a few weeks ago for sure.

My take aways - Lindsay Allen needs to shoot more - she is giving up open looks for contested assists and could really take over games if she wanted to. Lots of fun having Turner block shots right in front of us. I knew she had a ton of blocks but the 24 points was more than I realized. Pretty sure the fourth quarter was half practice running some sets the team seemed to not be jiving well with and Muffet was getting animated. Nice to have a good blow out you can live test some looks.

They seem to have the tools but not quite the execution to be #1 seed material. Hoping they can iron it out and peak into the ACC tourney. NCST athleticism and aggressiveness had them on their heels as they didn't show up for half the game - did not match the opponents intensity or do much to impose their will on a team they should have dominated. Similar first quarter yesterday, then they turned on the jets in the 2nd and that was pretty much the game. Something is definitely off - flow, chemistry, I don't know.

They also have horrible FT shooting from the games I've been able to watch.

With that being said I think they will make it deep in the NCAA tournament. The less that is expected from them will be better. I mean they were preseason #1 for a reason.

Agree - Really expected better shooting from them the two games I saw in person. If anyone can get them working together by tourney time it is Muffet though. Peak at the right time and they will be hard to beat.
