I thought it was -3 ND as of yesterday??
Okay let me ask you this one question to answer honestly:
Would Bama have any problem absolutely crushing Virginia and need a hail mary with 12 secs to go to win this year? Would OSU? MSU?
The answer should be a resounding no. So basically, ND Is no way close to being a playoff team. And for good reason. Lose your starting TB, QB, TE and DT in two games and things get tough. But it is the hand we are dealt and all teams deal with injuries. OSU had their first two qbs go down and depended on the run game with an OL less rated than NDs and they won a NC.
That is where ND should be. The fact that it isnt is 100% on BK.
I never really have been extremely high on ratings. I mean, I do follow them and expect a certain amount of the rating to coincide with the player once they (if they) hit the field regardless of the program the recruit goes.
But I always go back to Marcus Mariota. He was a 3-star coming out of high school. Only offered by Memphis and Oregon.
High School coaches can only do so much to 'Coach' a player. Once the player gets to the level of D1, the coaching increases dramatically plus, the system also may dictate or bring out certain qualities of a player not available or used in HS.
I honestly believe Kizer can produce. Wimbush is fit to be seen but, he too was offered by Alabama, LSU, Miami, Mich. St, Tennesse and Ohio St. So there is something there.
Can't quote-
Meeting in a minute, so quick response - maybe. I mean, bama to the playoffs last year and almost lose to West Virginia early last year. Struggles happen to good teams, especially sandwiched between 2 bigger games.

Another question…why do so many people have to make crazy, wild claims not even close to being grounded in any truth or facts, just to make their points? Why not just state your opinion without going so far over-the-top, in some cases even straight lying just to make a point? Baffles me that some people can’t just make their opinions, even if they are against the grain, without going over-the-top or even making things up.
close, but not top 10. composite #12 pro, with a 90 rating, and 232 national ranking (lowest rated scholarship QB on our roster)

I would love to see a package for Wimbush. He runs like a young Braxton Miller.
We all know GT lost a lot on offense besides QB and OL, but what are they returning on defense?
I think Virginia has a solid defense. Anytime you have upperclassmen with a few years in the weight room, it's going to be a solid.
9 of their starters on defense were in at least their 3rd year in the college.

Wow, 247 composite has him at #2224 overall. That may be naia talent there.
I looked last night and most places had ND +2.5 to +3

Not sure where you get this info. This is what is in his thread:
Rankings
Rivals: 5.8 Rating, #9 QB
247: 91 Rating, #8 OH, #5 Dual QB, #193 Overall
ESPN: #6 DUAL QB
Scout: #13 QB
247 Composite: 91 Rating, #10 OH, #3 Dual QB, #2224 Overall
line movement has nothing to do with who is going to win a game. It has to do with where the money is going. They want equal money on both sides so that they make money. Because of injuries, GT is getting more money so to make ND more appealing they give them points so people will take them. When in doubt fade the public, they make square bets.
An we get a Vbook on this?Speaking of betting lines I love BYU +17 at UCLA

Personally I fear the game will be a lot worse than GT winning by 2.5. I really fear that the offense will not be able to consistently move the ball and therefore keep our D on the field way too much. GT is a running team which suggests longer time to score versus a passing team. I dont see Kizer as a D1 qb, much less the qb as a top 10 rated team. He scored on that long pass vs Virginia because 1) it was man coverage 2) our receiver just beat the DB, was a lob pass and 3) I dont think the defense really expected much from Kizer so they didnt play heavy pass defense. I dont see Kizer as anyone that will beat you consistently with his arm and I dont see him as the threat at running like Zaire was. My only hope is that the Oline gets it together this week and decides to open some holes. The ND Oline athletes are far superior recruited athletes to GT so you would think we would run wild but after the Virginia game and their 2/3 star recruits, Im beginning to question that as well.
With GT winning TOP heavily, this can very easily turn into a nasty game. Hope Im wrong.
