If anything is right in the world we'll miraculously pull this off.

Are you kidding? Brey can't control no calls from the refs like the one's we saw in this last 1.30 minute.

No, I'm not kidding. Horrible rotations are Brey's specialty throughout the years, not to mention his horrible TO management tonight. And then having to have a Frosh come in late to hit FTs when he's played ZERO time all season is pathetic.
Combine that with terrible decisions by veterans Connaughton and Atkins and thats a massive choke.

Unacceptable. Played great for 39 minutes only to take a Brey all over the MSG court. AAAAAAARRRRRRRGHHHHH!!!!!!

Awful, awful, AWFUL interior defense and sub-60% free throw shooting cost us a signature win.

Also, how the hell are there 39 comments on this game? God, I hate people who are "fans" of ND football but not basketball/other sports. Support the whole school or nothing at all.

That sucked. Irish basketball in a nutshell-freeze/choke/tighen up under pressure.

Just look at us in the NCAA tourney. Pressure on-Irish out

So sad

So why was Vasturia in the game at the end there? 0-0 career FT shooter is EXACTLY what we want at that point, right?

Epic. Those foul calls on Atkins changed the game... and then the no call on the sideline... and then an all time horribly dumb foul by Connaughton.

Exactly.

The ball they called off Grant was a joke.

The no call on the sideline was a joke.

3 of Atkins fouls were no calls in this game.

Craft had 3 straight possessions (starting with throwing Sherman down) where he foul'ed.

Not one call.

We're a decent team. A good team still wins this game. A decent team gets screwed.

Quality post from a glass house guy with all of 58 comments in two years for all ND sports while sporting a football only avatar.

Why are they sucking craft's dick when grant was schooling him?

No shit that was the most bias announcing I've heard in a while. The 3 missed calls towards the end were talked about as if the refs were 100% right on them.

Can't stand the kid, personally. He bitches about every call that goes against him so he'll fit right in with the rest of the NBA

he's not a bad kid honestly...he's just the most competitive kid i've ever known so that's what i think rubs a lot of ppl the wrong way about him.

he's a devout christian, volunteers in haiti, and a honor student majoring in pre-med. college athletics needs more dudes like him

Pathetic ending for ND. Good teams don't blow 8 point leads with a minute to play. Bad coaching, bad play, etc.....are to blame. Bad calls?? Yes..but you can't let the officials dictate the outcome. Take care of what you can control and keep it out of the officials hands.

1. That was hard to watch
2. Home court advantage? Check.
3. We didn't help ourselves out much with the play and decision making in the last 90 seconds.

I'm sure he's great off the court, I don't like him as a player

And get's away with more shit on a basketball court then I can ever remember seeing.

Seriously, start with when he threw Sherman down, and watch the next three possessions. The final possession of ours was a made three of, I believe DJ's, where he caught arm.

All no calls.

He then drives the lane and picks up (I think it was the and 1) on a ticky tack call.

officials have been guilty of star treatment ever since basketball was invented.

and as much as some may hate to admit it....craft is a star in the college game.

I don't get some of the train of thought. Sure we shot ourselves in the foot a couple times, but if not for those blown calls would have been up more or still up by 8pts. I thought they were pretty obvious. I think we all know were not a great team, but decent. That doesn't change the fact that the refs decided that last minute.
