On ISD Intel they mentioned him this morning but said that he's 205 lbs. I really hope that's a mistake.

No, that seems to be true. He's listed on ESPN this year as being 6'11 and 207 lbs. He was 6'9 200 coming out of high school. Had offers from some big basketball programs (Kansas, Indiana, Florida, etc) coming out of high school. If anything, a long, athletic player capable of defending the numerous long, athletic players in the ACC would be huge for this team and a very nice addition!!!

Is his middle name Napoleon? I kid, I kid. ISD had reported in Intel about a month back that he's got interest. That'd sure be nice.

Notre Dame leads the crystal ball race 4-1 against St. John's for Luther Muhammad. He's a guard that's a top 100 player. With TJ Gibbs still having 3 years of eligibility, Prentiss Hubb already committed, and the fact that Luther stands at 6'4" I can see him being a SG in Brey's offense.

I know the crystal ball doesn't mean much but it's hard not to get excited about the possibility. After watching his tape, I didn't see him play above the rim but he has a good mid range game (something that kids don't seem to work on that much) and isn't afraid to attack the rim. He's not the big man we so desperately need, but he's another top 100 guard that would be on the same team as Gibbs, Harvey, Hunb, and potentially Robby Carmody. Saying our guard game will be solid could be an understatement. He's from NJ where Bret has quite a bit of success. I believe he is announcing this summer.

Butler is a player for Luther Muhammad. With the news that Butler's HC took the OSU job, they might not be much of a player anymore.

Per a ND hoops recruiting page on Twitter, he has cancelled his Butler OV. He will still OV at St. John's

Muhammad said in an interview that he wants to attend a school that will give him a degree he can fall back on when he is done playing basketball (aka not Kentucky). If he is true to his word, we have to like our chances even more. Harvard reached out to him so you know he's got the grades.

I never thought I'd see the day that Brey would pull 2 borderline 5 stars in the same class; they're in it with a few other great recruits too. This team might be flirting with the Final Four soon

4:s: SG Robby Carmody just committed to ND. Holy shit! Another highly rated, borderline elite commit for Brey

Just about to write this. Wow what a job him and this staff is doing right now. Carmody, Hubb and Durham is already an amazing lineup plus Harvey. AND we are still in it for like 3 otger guys. This is going to be arguably the best class ever. I know,Durham isnt in this class but basiclaly he is

How many can Brey take? It seems like the classes typically have 3 or 4

How do you think the class is going to end? Do you think ND will get Goodwin and Muhammad?

I think we lead for Muhammad, but I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to OSU. I don't think they can take both Muhammad and Goodwin, as that would be 4 guards in one class. I'm hoping for Muhammad and 2 bigger bodies, making the class a total of 5 guys

I agree but on 247 we lead with Muhammad for predictions and it looks pretty good. This class we can take up to 7!! Players.
Th article on ISD talked with Carmody and he said he is gonna hit the recruiting trail hard and try to get joey hauser to come to ND. He's a top 30 player and a PF.

I think it's possible that Carmody decided he better commit or risk his spot being taken by Goodwin, thus the commit despite Carmody having an official visit scheduled for Michigan next week.

His 3 point shooting ability reminds me of Vasturia. But his dribble drive ability is what separates him from Steve. The first 3 minutes of his highlights are of him driving the lane and getting to the basket for an easy 2; Steve would do that but not on a consistent basis. In college, Robby will take a lot of fouls doing that and when help defense comes he can lob it to Durham for a jam.

I really think Muhammad is thinking PG, so this shouldn't impact him.

Hubb is going to be point guard no matter what. But Hubb and Muhammad both are combo guards so if their on the same floor either one can play point. Hubb said he likes to set guys up with great passes. But he can also shoot great. Muhammad I would guess who start at SG and then Carmody comes in comfortably with like 25 mins a game so our guys have rest.
This is assuming Muhammad picks us haha

Ya I watched his highlights and he looks exactly like vast but looks to be a more consistent shooter and driver. He can get to the basket pretry quick

6'10" big out of Bethlehem, PA, Ryan Young will take an unofficial visit to ND. Not a highly touted recruit, has small school offers like Lehigh and Yale. But he's 6'10" and we'll need someone behind Durham. Also, Brey has a pretty good track record at getting something out of guys like this.

Ryan Young, Bethlehem Catholic, Power Forward

From what limited highlights I could find, he doesn't seem to be terribly athletic, but does seem to be always hustling and scrapping for rebounds. Good motor.
