Auguste may be athletic but he's not explosive by any means, which is important when you can't get to the hoop in time to avoid being blocked. He will need some sort of offensive game if we don't want to suck next year.

He is too explosive.

He needs to become a better finisher, but he can explode.

I can remember numerous times when he was blocked because he just didn't get up fast enough, so that is just where I am coming from. Maybe you're right and it's not due to a lack of explosiveness, I haven't seen him enough to form a definitive opinion.

Getting a shot blocked doesn't necessarily mean you lack explosion.

In most cases, such as this, it's just a timing/feeling issue. You need to know who is around and what they are currently doing.

Look at Kevin McHale. Wasn't crazily explosive, but his intelligence led to moves that worked every time.

This is what I meant by, finishing.

Nice I like the fact were starting to give scholarships out to higher ranked players and hopefully we can capitalize on them

Reid Travis:

Rivals: :s::s::s::s: N/A
ESPN: :s::s::s::s: #8 PF #40 OVR
Scout: :s::s::s::s: #24 SF

He lives like a mile from Minnesota and is there pretty often.

He would be a good pickup. The firing of Tubby Smith helps set Minnesota back.

He's been on visits to Iowa State, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Harvard. His brother plays at Harvard.

"What are the biggest things you can point to that are going to go into this decision as far as where you end up?"

"The first thing I look at is how their academics are and how they hold their players to a standard and how high is that. What’s the graduating rate? And where are they going after college? Because that’s kind of a big thing for me … how the alumni helps you, how their business school is from the school side of it. And then just kind of how the coaches are, that connection, whether they’re going to be there for a while and just to build that bond with them."

Well if he's 6 8 its a big SF id rather have him as a PF and by the looks of it he's a PF that can step out and hit shots from the elbow. On ESPN it says he is athletic and still developing. Would be a great get with him and auguste next to each other down low

If what he's looking for in a school isn't ND, then I don't know what is.

I wonder if Rashad Vaughn (5 star SG, #9 overall ESPN, also from Minneapolis) will join these two as well. If any school could pull that trio of guys from of the Twin Cities it would be a huge recruiting win. MN turning out some ballplayers this year

there is actually a rumor about that. Also Izzo is going hard after tyus and Vaughn and after with land Cliff alexander it would be an amazing recruiting haul.

Did ND recruit Oladipo hard? I noticed he had an offer.

Didn't know he went to Dematha with Jerian and Jerami

Victor was recruited. But if memory serves Jerian and vic wanted to each do their own thing.

Vic and Jer are still great friends.

Victor was suuuper raw coming out of high school. Couldn't score even remotely consistent.

So I'm not too sure how hard brey pressed.

Hey Travis is a name I know. Butler has been recruiting him for a while. He's going to be good...if he plays basketball. He's a solid QB recruit with some BCS conference offers.
