The beauty is we'll play bend don't break on Savage and he'll have the game of his life. I can see it now.

I'm gonna call right now that we struggle with Pitt. Considering our recent history with them Im certainly not stretching, but I think Savage and Street will be a pretty lethal combo later in the season.

I really, really don't expect us to play Michigan next year. If Brady Hoke hadn't opened his fat mouth, I'm 99.9% sure we wouldn't play Michigan next year. Now I think it possibly depends on the result of this game, but I still expect it to be cancelled.

As for this game, pretty easy money if you ask me. Thought FSU should be at least a 14 point favorite.

We struggled with PITT last year because of Ray Graham and their running game. I didn't see anything tonight that worries me in that department. Street and Boyd did look good but if we can control their running game and get some pressure on Savage, we'll be okay.

Bama wanted Winston as he was a huge Bama fan and Jamies wanted to go there to play. He met with Saban and told him that he wanted to play both football and baseball. Word is Saban told him no and then tried to convince him to give up baseball and tried to squeeze him by contacting Gunner. It was well known that Winston hated Gunner because he felt he was better but Gunner was getting all the national publicity. Once Bama warmed to Gunner, Winston met with FSU and Jimbo told him he could play both sports.

Many think that these two things... Saban saying no to baseball and then the "squeeze" using Gunner was what pushed Winston to FSU. It appears Saban may have made a mistake... lol.

And you thought the Hoover coaches at Spain Park were dumb? They made their decision with a 13-14 year old and their team needs at the time.

Saban had the benefit of watching Winston's entire high school career develop less than an hour away, 15 minutes in the chopper.

Not as big a mistake as Mack Brown apparently:

“@McMurphyESPN: Jameis Winston: "I'm an OU fan but I always wanted to go to Texas. If I'd gotten offer from Texas I'd be going to Texas right now"”

“@ClayTravisBGID: So Mack Brown recruited Manziel and RGIII as defensive backs and if he'd offered Jameis Winston he'd have gone to Texas. Salt. In. Wounds.”

Yes. The Hoover coaches were stupid when it came to Jameis. He was unbelievable playing in middle school and eveyone - except Hoover and the Parkies to an extent - knew that Jameis was going to be one of the best QBs in the country. There were some other things that went into the decision to try to make him a tailback. And the one they picked over Winston? Well, he never got an offer from any respectable D1 school.

Saban was more stubborn than stupid. And sometimes that stubborness costs you. Wonder if he threw up last night if he watched the game? LOL

Texas was never in the picture for Winston contrary to what Clay "talk out of my as* most days" Travis says. Jameis made it well known that he wanted to go to Bama. He would spend practically every Saturday he could on campus. OU was always thrown out there as a possibility as he was also a fan of the Sooners but didn't care for Stoops as much. The only reason he did not end up at Bama was baseball. Everyone in the state that follows high school football and followed Jameis knows that. He gave Saban every opportunity to allow him to play. Saban didn't budge and Winston is at FSU. Saban probably was sick to his stomach last night if he watched the game.

It's not anything Clay Travis said. He just saw the same tweet I posted in which Jameis said to ESPN if he would have gotten a Texas offer he'd be at Texas right now
