Miami has won 5 of the last 6 games between the two schools. Tech doesn't play well against the Canes.

Some doubts about Miami. I'm just pulling for them since we play them.

Yeah. Through one quarter I don't really worry about their ability to stop our running game. I do hope they win this though.

Do we want Miami to lose so we leapfrog them in the standings? Or have them keep winning and expose them on our own?

My thought is always hope your opponents win. That way it looks better if we win/lose. But I don't have a problem if someone wants USC or Stanford to lose, or in my case, Michigan just out of personal feelings. But in this case I hope that Miami wins.

Disagree. We want conference champions to look as weak as possible because they're our competition in terms of playoff slots. 11-1 ND probably gets in over a two loss conference champion so we want any potential conference champion to lose a couple, even if that's a minor ding on our SOS.

I want to defeat an undefeated Miami on the road.
No you don't. Because a 12-1 ACC champion Miami MIGHT get in ahead of 11-1 Notre Dame even if we beat them. Head to head matters, but not 100%. If they beat Clemson convincingly in championship week, they could leapfrog us.

*I could maybe be convinced that this year is different because Miami doesn't have a full schedule this season.

Nonsense. If we beat Miami we are in over them. No question. Beating them and NC State, who may end up in ACC title game, would in effect make us ACC champs
