Bama defense is just plain nasty. No way they're going to let Clemson score like they did last year. 14 points may be all they'll need.

Don't think so, would have liked to have seen him 50 years ago when most schools were on equal playing field

Parity is closer today because of the 85/25 scholarship rules.

50 years ago Bear Bryant was putting athletes on tennis and track scholarships to keep them away from other SEC teams. Bryant has such depth that he didn't have a 1,000 yd rusher until the 70's. It wasn't that they were't talented enough, it was because he had a stable of RBs and kept rotating fresh legs into the game.

50 years ago the SWC was a cesspool of slush funds and extra benefits.

50 years ago there was sharp disparity between the have and have nots.

Bright side of Alabama winning, is Nick Saban the next coach of Notre Dame.

So not much has changed....

Who dressed Desmond Howard? That is horrific. My eyes are bleeding.

I'm really just not convinced he could replicate his success outside of the SECW.

I'm not really convinced he could replicate his success if the NCAA really knew about all the stuff going on in that program and could prove it.

Oh he could do it at other blue blood schools.

Now we all know he couldn't have the run he is on now at ND. But, no doubt he would win at least 1 national championship at Notre Dame.

Your accusation lacks any evidence or wrong doing and also lacks evidence of the opponent not involved in the same.

Correct. I've seen enough college football over the decades, however, to believe that if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Just my suspicion based on some anecdotal evidence---that's all.

I agree with you. That doesn't mean much though.

I don't think that they should have overturned that unless they had a different view from us. It was completely inconclusive.

Our boy Dieter should have caught that. That drop could not have happened to a nicer guy and nicer family.
