Probably expected, but still impressive.

Angel Reese announced she's going pro today. Two big draws with her and Clark leaving college basketball for the WNBA.

Borderline offensive foul, but I’ll take it.

I’ve never seen a player get as fouled as much as Edey.
Painter was asked if refs call game differently due to Edey
His response was great
“Think of a 6’9 250 lb player guarding Edey…he’s giving up 7 inches and 50 lbs. The defender by rule is allowed one forearm to defend not two. all we ask is if it’s a foul on one end it should be foul on our end. Don’t punish Edey because he is big”

Lots of questionable calls and no calls last night, but that last one on Edwards wasn't. Clearly stuck out the shoulder/ elbow.
You’re high. You cant make that call at that junture of the game. Let the players decide the outcome of the game. Nothing was “clear” or the whole world outside of a handful of people wouldnt all be chastising the call. Maybe Uconn makes the shot and media darling goes home, or maybe they miss it, but to have an official take that moment out of the game with a questionable at best call is not good for the game.

The video replay also showed she was completely moving when setting the screen too.

I agree with Yankee on this one. I typically hate it when refs make a questionable call at the end of a game, but the replay is clear that this wasn't questionable.

Not this time. I don't like a all of the built in offensive advantages in the modern game and this is one of the big ones. It's an on ball screen, which is important since a clear advantage is gained.
Not only is she moving, but she's extending her elbow and knee right in front of the ref, forcing the call. To not call it would've been more egregious than not calling it.

If that would've been Clark/Stulhke, my reaction would be the same.

Purdue turning over the ball like crazy but the wolfpack can't turn them into points or they would be leading this game.

Purdue was fortunate to come out with the win but they did manage to turn it on a little the latter part of the second stanza.

UCONN's a load. My guys are hanging in there and have even had the lead a few times.

Bama has had the lead and even though the pace favors Bama, UConn has controlled the game IMO. Big 3 by Sears at the end. Otherwise UConn is a bucket or two from going up double digits.

South Carolina just has too much height and talent for Iowa. Clark will need to get hot if Iowa is going to have a chance.

Bama played a tough game, but I felt like it was going to be tough sledding when they shot 73% from 3 in the first half and were still down 4 at half. They played a near perfect game, minus missing a few open shots down the stretch.
Uconn is just so good. They didnt shoot worth a crap in the first half between good Bama and missing a few open shots. They did however make everything difficult for Bama wtih both their interior and perimeter defense, and they only turned the ball over 4 times all game. Castle is a handful as a defender and yesterday he showed he cN carry them offensively. Full stat lines for all 5 starters. They have so many ways they can beat you and stress you all game long, then yesterday once they started hitting shots they started to pull away. Solid run by Bama though. Sears is a baller.

Wow! John Calipari to University of Arkansas has been reported by Pete Thamel nationally & Wess Moore locally in Arkansas. Reported to get $8M/yr in salary + $6M/yr in NIL. Sounds like both fan bases are happy w/ the Calipari move…LOL
