It's been two weeks since launch (as intended) so I'll start typing up the PS3 dynasty thread here after I get some food.

So, in my 4th season I switched to the HC of the Fighting Davies, New Mexico, because the HC of my Texas State Bobcats was getting cozy with the program I helped build and decided not to move to a better team. Anyway, I was a bit surprised at the end of the season when I played a Snow Bowl in Albuquerque. I didn't think it snows in Albuquerque, and while it does seem to happen on occasion according to the interwebz, it usually melts pretty fast or doesn't stick. In any case, I don't remember who the team was, but they wore completely all white uniforms (Maybe PSU?) and were like chameleons against the white backdrop. Pain in the *** when navigating as a ball carrier!

I like tuning the game to be more realistic, but most of the custom slider sets I've tried aren't doing a very good job from a game play point of view.

What are all of your thoughts on sliders at the moment?

Also, we have seven players in the PS3 dynasty now. Still room for some more. Figure we'll give it another day or two before kicking it off since so make people are/have been on holiday.

Anyone know of an effective set of auto sub sliders to get backup defensive players some PT?

If it's dynasty I honestly just work with formation subs and formation variations from the play call screen to get a solid rotation... just me.

I used them all up on getting Bryant, Cam, GAIII, & Carlisle carries, putting Carlisle in the slot, Kickoff, some defensive formation stuff (ex flipping Spond & Shembo) and a couple other random stuff.

My best guess then would be to use the variations as i stated with the right stick in the play call screen... that'll help some...

and check out Op. Sports... they are sure to have something over there... I'd help but Op. Sports is blocked at my work.

EA no longer publishing a college football game next year:

Well if they are willing to take that step with the market they have you have to think there won't be another cfb game ever unless something significant changes in terms of the sport itself OR with the overall climate...

Originally I was going to say that changing the whole bowl system and adding a playoff sounds like a HUGE patch/download... but then I realized some type of playoff programming has to be in the game already due to the high school playoff in Road to Glory mode.

Worst case scenario, I would think there has to be at least one huge NCAA fan out there with programming knowledge that could look into creating/distributing something to help (but I also know nothing about this, so I'm probably completely wrong).

It would have been really nice to get one more game with a playoff involved, but the way I see it we won't get any patches or anything for the current game next year. EA is going to wipe their hands of it, I'm sure. On the plus side, I could see the Operation Sports crews putting together teams for the foreseeable future that will modify all FBS teams going forward. It'll be a little extra work, but probably not that much more when you consider some rosters go through every player anyway. It might double the time required, but someone will be up for the challenge. Also, they won't have to wait for a new game to be released to update rosters. Rosters could be done by Spring now.

I am waiting for the next uni update.. they have done four.. and the next one would almost certainly include the Sham. Ser. unis...
