Finished my second season last night. I didn't whiff on as many recruits during the season this time, signed 8-9 before the post season, which is 5-6 more than my first season as Texas State. I didn't get crap in the one week long recruiting offseason this time though, only picking up 2 of my remaining 10 targets (Most of which I was leading with or I was within 500 points of and I dumped at least 1500 in to try and seal the deal). I was actually 67/70 on scholarship when the new season began, which has never happened to me before (That was after picking up a couple walk ons too). That said, my recruiting class this year was already better than last year's and the team is improving overall even if depth isn't very good.
I'm hoping to step in as the head coach soon as I'm still the OC. The CPU head coach has 14 points in the ability tree and not enough in recruiting which is hurting us. I tried resetting that ability tree in the off season and left the points in recruiting to see what he would do, but so far it just shows 14 unused points for him, he hasn't assigned them yet. I'm hoping once I play the first game or when he levels up next time he'll reassign them.
