It's fatigue...this is what happens when you're playing what is effectively an all star team.

It's the pace. Warriors finished the season with a pace factor almost 5 points higher than Cleveland. The only team that was somewhat of a contender in the East in the top 10 for pace was Atlanta. You could argue the Cavs are getting outgunned by a better team, but in the end I think it is more one team dictating the pace and the other not adjusting to it.

That stupid long 3 with like 10 on the shot clock tells you all you need to know about Steph Curry...taking threes at this point in general...what a freakin goon.

You can slow the game down but as long as a team is hitting shots it isn't going to matter very much.

Maybe the all star team's injury luck will run out next year, who knows.

I'm just glad we beat them the year they won 73 games...methinks that one will haunt them forever, just like Pats fans are haunted forever about 07.

I said tonight was about Durant, not his mom. She's about to reach Annie Apple status for spotlight sucking parent.

I think they will sleep just fine, even if a few more titles don't come their way. California sports fans aren't as hard-headed and stubborn as Boston sports fans.

The GS fans who I know care about that stuff, being the best team ever, blah blah blah.

But no, nobody has ever accused California sports fans of being too passionate.

Funny how perception changes. Everyone loved Curry and GS a few years ago. Now that they are wining regularly, everyone is hating on them.

GS's constant movement on offense wears everyone down. Go back to the first quarter and look at the score. Cleveland had GS right where they wanted them, playing a slower tempo. Then GS picked up the pace on fast breaks and half court offense and before you knew it, the lead was 16.

One could argue James is as big a douche bag as Curry. James whines at any call that doesn't go his way. In the first half he gets hit with a blocking call against KD at the top of the three point line and starts complaining to the refs. Watch the replay and it was an obvious block, but he had to go plead his case to two different refs. James is arguably the best player in the NBA, but that doesn't mean he never commits a foul. Personally, I'd like for all players to quit whining about calls and just play.

Curry took more FTs than James for the series, which is sort of amazing. Fouls are committed against James almost every play. Few are called. Breathe on Curry, though...

I hope over the next couple years defenders start putting their feet under him when he shoots. That's how much his behavior the final minute or so bothered me.

Just some thoughts...

GS had to add the 2nd best player in the league to a team that won 73 games last year just to win the championship.

Draymond Green is by far the biggest cry baby in the NBA, I know a lot of other players are dramatic but no one comes close to Green.

Curry had some last minute douchery that I'm sure turned off many sports fans. No room for that crap if you ask me but that is why the NBA needs to relax some on the flagrant fouls and when someone goes to the basket allow for a little more contact, kind of like the old Detroit days.

LBJ has a record of 3W and 5L in the finals. Just to say that he has been there 8 times is one hell of an accomplishment. I would say that the Cavs will add some pieces and we might see round 4 next year.

What did he do? I must have missed it.

LBJ cries all the time. Watch how many times he pushes off the defender while cutting to the rim.

The officiating was almost always horrible, it always favored one team and it seemed to alternate.

The Cavs deserved to get beat because they were the lesser team. They were fortunate to steal one for Cleveland before GS stabilized. Now GS is primed for a couple more titles.

Golden State has to be near the greatest team ever but I don't think i can crown them yet. They need to win back to back titles or three in a row before that discussion. But it's obviously the most talented offensive team we've ever seen.

You mean taking a contested 3 point over Kyrie with 50 seconds left. How is that being a douche?

The game was over... and the one from like 30 feet the possession before... and the corner 3 with like 30 seconds left.

I think you're reaching. I saw it, didn't remember it as douchey, which is why I had to ask 'what are you talking about'.

If ppl think Curry is a DB for other reasons, go for it.. But that last minute did nothing to enhance that argument.

Did LBJ really say he was never a part of a 'super team'??

They have pushed that revisionist history narrative all week to protect his image. Fat boy Windhorst wrote a whole apology piece about how Durant to GS was infinitely different/worse than Lebron to Miami. It was pretty funny.

One could even argue the CURRENT Cavs are a super team, with 3 max players.

The 2nd best player in the NBA joining a 73 win team is very different from LBJ joining a 47 win team along with Bosh Spice I'd think m

The fact remains: they were the first team to have 3 max contracts. Deal with your own creation.

I don't think it's different.

Bosh + LBJ + Wade makes 3 legitimate superstars. Bosh averaged 24 and 11 the year before he went to the Heat, while shooting over 50%.

Steph is a superstar. Klay Thompson is really good, but not a superstar. Draymond Green is a really good niche player, but not a superstar.

Or the ultimate mindfuck: Cleveland spent $22 million more than Golden State on salaries this season, and was almost $10 million more than the second team.

Cleveland was essentially the Yankees this year from a payroll standpoint. Gilbert DGAF and will pay the tax all day.

*GS has to pay Curry this summer with an extension, so that will certainly shake up the numbers

It's isn't revisionist history. If you looked at "blind resumes" of teams in 2014, it isn't like the Cavs would have been at the top of the pile. They had won 33 games in 2013. There were other options which would have put him in a stronger position to win a title. He went back to Cleveland for emotional/sentimental reasons, to fulfill his "promise," etc. Durant joined a 73 win team that his team led 3-1. A 73 win team that his team led 3-1. The moves are on different planets.

So they're just supposed to let the shot clock run out? If the game was over then why were the cavs still playing defense and scoring on their possessions? That should be considered douchey as well. How about they not play the last two minutes of the game since it was over.
