Have you guys seen the players visiting UCLA the weekend of the 31st? All the John Curtis guys, Rashann Evans, Dixon SC commit, I think Quick. Davon godchaux (LSU commit). Demetrius Knox as well. Just insane all that talent.

Mora is doing something right out there. Some quotes from R. Evans father after the in home visit. Still think he is Auburn's to lose. For those that may not know, iirc...Rashann's dad was the highest rated recruit from Alabama the year he came out of high school... ahead of one Mr. Bo Jackson.

5-star Alabama, Auburn target Rashaan Evans sets visit to UCLA | AL.com

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"It was a great visit with Coach Mora," Evans' father Alan Evans said. "Coach Mora said he feels Rashaan could come in and compete for the starting job vacated by Anthony Barr from day one. He said Rashaan was a dynamic player that could come in and take over the Pac-12."

Earlier in the day, Evans and his family met with UCLA defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, who told Evans the Bruins would also like to give the Auburn High standout a look at playing on offense as both a wildcat quarterback and receiver. Evans' father said the day of visits with the UCLA staff made a big impression on his son and locked up an unofficial visit for the Bruins on the final weekend before National Signing Day.

I think it really depends what you want to do on offense. I think Blake Barnett is the perfect QB for what BK wants to do. I wouldn't want anyone over him for ND, personally.

i hope Town isn't interested in Michigan because of his relationship with Nuss.

Even Rosen? I know Rosen isn't dual threat but he can move and his ball is so pretty. I think Barnett upside is through the roof but right now Rosen just seems to have "it"

I won't go too far in this discussion because I haven't watched film about QBs other than Barnett. But if Barnett doesn't have 'it', then IDK who does.

Seems to have the best head on his shoulders of any Jr. I've ever seen, and his physical abilities make him the biggest QB recruit to ND in my lifetime IMO.

Clausen, Mirer and Pawlus were all more hyped QB recruits in your lifetime.

Ratings/offers wise, no doubt. And I LOVED Clausen and still do (he's very pro-ND, contrary to how some people feel about him... Always tweeting ND stuff).

But personally, I'm saying I think Barnett has a chance to be better than every one of them, and has physical abilities that they didn't have.

Even Keil ;).

Whether that comes to fruition, who knows. But everything I've heard about this kid and watched, I've loved.

Well JC threw for 28 TDs and 4 INTs his junior year and completed 68% of his passes. Let's see Barnett beat that by year 3.

Clausen was a surgeon. I was at the Navy game that we lose by a few points (2009?) and was so impressed with him. He literally did whatever he wanted and it was like watching my younger self play a video game.

His JR numbers are insane, and if Barnett came close to them, he'd be a success.

But I think Barnett is capable of having ~ 25 TD passes, who knows how many picks, and rushing for ~ 400 yards. Those 400 yards will make every defense have to plan for ND in a different way than they had to with Clausen is all I'm saying.

There will be at least 1 3rd down per game, where Barnett takes off and over a few years, those 3rd down scrambles will give us some wins we would not of otherwise had IMO.

I was talking intangibles. I am pretty sure 24-7 gives him a 10 in that category. I also know Gorney and Farrell were drooling over this kid at the 5 star challenge on how easy and smooth the game seems to come to him. Kid is a superstar and best high school QB in the country IMO. That's what I meant when I said he has "it"

Can't believe Saban had the ego to force out Nuss and sign Kiffin... cost him a #1 QB. Kiffin is universally hated by just about everyone in CFB.

This. Barnett is perfect on and off for Notre Dame. He is the one guy you have to retain in the class at all cost.

Clausen was really great, but he didn't have the supporting cast that Barnett will possibly have. He will have the potential to put monster numbers if everything go his/our way...

Barnett VS Town. I foresee a possible top5 ND vs SC matchup down the road. Pretty exciting to think about.

Agree, but it will glorious watching golson kick the piss out of everybody next year and finally close the book on the dark ages of no all around team talent and horrible qb play!

Simply said, USC is rolling. Getting Town is just another stud addition to a pretty nice class. Not to mention, it's likely they get Mama and JuJu.

Don't they have a decent shot at adoree too? That could be a real good secondary with Juju and him.

BOL update from today.
quote:

- Rashaan Evans is 50/50 on Bama/Auburn --- final in-home visits will be huge for Kirby and Malzahn on Saturday
- Marlon Humphrey is still an Alabama/FSU battle with Alabama still holding a lead
- Malachi Dupre is not an LSU lock by any means, even though they are still the favorite at this point. Bama/FSU/Ole Miss are hanging around.
- Chad Thomas taking a visit to Alabama is huge (hat tip to Cristobal), but Thomas is a longshot to leave the state at this point.
- Matt Elam is still back and forth between Bama and Kentucky. Elam had a great Unofficial to KY this past weekend.
- Bo is solid to Bama and has just been enjoying the process. Saban and Kiffin will have an in-home Friday to put a bow on his recruitment.
- Josh Frazier is supposedly solid to Alabama, but pay attention to see if he visits USC. Saban and Napier will see him this week to hopefully shut things down once and for all with Josh.
- Keep an eye on Markell Boston
- Bryson Allen-Williams is not a USCe lock, but he will still be tough to flip. Georgia is also trying to get into the mix with him.
- LSU was pushing depth chart while trying to flip Johnny Dwight recently. Kirby shut it all down though. Dwight is solid.
- Elisha Shaw's playing career is likely over.
- Jonathan Ledbetter is a darn good prospect coming out of Georgia.
- The story on Rico McGRaw has not been written yet. Alabama will continue to recruit him heavily.
