We just need to keep Luck contained. I don't think he can beat us through the air...but he just might be able to tuck it and run on those busted pass plays which scares the heck out of me.

Andrew Luck can beat us through the air. He's got the highest passing rating in the country besides Greg McElroy. Even being one wide reciever short, Stanford has a very efficient passing game with enough weapons to pick apart our secondary. IMO the biggest key to in this game is pressuring Andrew Luck and forcing him out of his rythm. If we allow him to stand in the pocket and go through his reads, we are in a lot of trouble. Our defense is going to have to make plays on third down to get off the field and stay fresh.

They have played Sacramento State, UCLA and Wake Forest. Sac St is DII and Wake Forest has the 111th ranked passing defense (against powerhouses like Presbyterian and Duke). The more I look into this, the more confident I am that we can win. I stand by my statement that Luck will have to beat us on the ground. Keep him in the pocket and we win.

I am hoping we pressure Luck all game long. Our defense needs to stop the Cardinal on third downs and not give up the big play. I think our offense will do well, but we need to eliminate the turnovers which have haunted us lately. I am hoping for a 35-31 Notre Dame win. GO IRISH!!

Not being atagonistic here, but what is the difference if they beat us with half a dozen big plays, or they simply march down the field using short plays, a half a dozen times?
