Well, folks, Muncie, Indiana is finally getting some snow. This is the second time it has snowed and it's almost the end of December.

Snow, as with many things, is best taken in moderation.

Here in Minneapolis we haven't had more than an inch or so of snow. None of it remains. Hell, it got up to 52 degrees here yesterday. My back appreciates it.

The Vikings could have played New Orleans in an outdoor stadium this past weekend and the Saints would have felt (almost) right at home.

Since we're still in the Christmas Octave, I guess this isn't too late. I included the one with Dr. John in honor of Dshan's sister.

Niggas in Paris was the only good song on that album, in my opinion. The beats to the other songs seemed to be off.

I thought Otis was decent but your right the rest of the album was crap. Tha Carter 4 really disappointed me to.

I've heard this. Never seen the video before though. I think it's good but a little to slow for my liking. Video was fantastic though. Haha

Haha yeah, the video was great. I think tyga makes good songs. That song is good and its a good party song

They aren't used to this kind of music. That "Rack City" music video could go in the "Kate vs. Alyssa" thread by the way, lol.

That's not music...That's rhythmic nonsense. The video, that's a different story but the rhythmic nonsense is garbage.

I cracked up at the comment on the Youtube page that said "I think I just found out I could make millions performing rap" or something along those lines. lol

I could be a platinum artist in rap if I can make rhymes as remedial as that!

Not at all. This is a wide open thread. As one of the resident "old timers" who frequents and contributes to it, I listen to everything posted. Not necessarily in their entirety, but I do try.

My son (now 24) never got into Rap or Hip Hop, though many of his friends and cousins did. It made our drives from MN to CO (15 hours) three years ago for a family wedding and MN to IN (8 hours) for the ND-Utah game in 2010 tolerable for me. We used his car (27 MPG) rather than my (17 MPG) minivan and the rules of the road trip dictated that we play HIS music.

Here's a tune he and his buddy Andy loved when I played it driving one place or another in MY minivan when they were about 7 or 8:

They had no clue as to what "ganja" was (and I never explained it to them), but they loved the rhythm, instrumentation and vocals. I feel that Reggae and Ska were the precursors to Rap and Hip Hop.

Peace, Love and copasceticism.

I'm not sure what brought me to this. It could simply be that I'm just a simple drunken and nostalgic Irishman ...

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/qzkMdIwL-hM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Though, as I recall, when I learned the song in Kindergarten, "I can lick the Mick who threw" was replaced with "Lick the one who threw."

Who'd a thunk ... "PC" at play way back in 1957.

Screw all this downloadable MP3 crap ... GET THE HELL OFF OF MY LAWN!!!!
