Sweet Baby James was my album of choice to cue up on my reel-to-reel tape recorder in my dorm room preparing to get mind-boggled in my calculus class on Fall days my freshman year at ND. It was a perfect balance of joy, hope and melancholy.

A year later, when I traveled to Chicago to see him perform, I got a kick out of his "Give me peace, woman!" response to a fan hounding him to play Fire and Rain. I was disappointed that he didn't play it, but I understood why he did not.

His talent, unlike his hair, has stood the test of time.

the 89 Seattle DVD from the LSB&P Box set is the ultimate Metallica video.

It makes me want to break my windows.
I don't know if Battery is the best track on it though!

I love songs about Cocaine...this one is a good combination of a few old timey cocaine songs. Mainly a Luke Jordan track...
Not a bad tune to sit with my guitar and sing with...maybe a little harmonica to wash it all down.
