For the Metal/Hard Rock guys. I remembered this and went and found it. When ND was #1 in 2012 the lead in to the ABC telecast was Last In Line by Dio. I remembered watching that game and how pumped I got with the intro. It’s worth a watch. Search YouTube for 2012 Notre dame vs usc

My BiL went to high school with Cody Jinks and he has gotten me to listen to Midland, Jinks, Whiskey Myers... I guess Texas is getting to me,... it's pretty decent stuff.

So Drake White opened for Myers the other night and I enjoyed it... checked him out on amazon music and good lord... not many artists mix all the styles and tones I enjoy better than this guy... highly recommend songs like Mix Em With Whiskey or Power of a Woman.

Cool Side: During the opening act he spoke in between a couple numbers and was like, "Good to hear you are enjoying the songs thus far,... I'm sure most of you are thinking 'I don't know who the fuck this guy is!' but here's the thing, I don't know who the fuck any of you people are either so let's make the best it."

Still on Whiskey Myers,… their first album got stuck in label disputes and is almost impossible to get now,… but it’s on YouTube and I listened to it today for the first time.

1.) I always wondered why East Texas Nights was just by itself,… it’s from this album.
2.) this might be their best album. Great stuff

Can’t wait for Tornillo to fully stop, cool they recorded it here in town.

Saw NIN, Tool, Bad Religion, and Clutch so far.
Going forward: Kraftwerk, Phish, RATM (last night at MSG).

What does everyone else have going on?

Pretty nice set list there…….I’ve recently seen Black Label Society, Dirty Honey, Nita Strauss, Buckcherry and Sevendust……all of them solidly rocked the house. Very impressed with Zakk Wylde’s playing live, he can really shred.

For the record,… I’m the resident JJ Grey fan,… I’ve been reping his music here for years. Saw him in LA with Dragondeer like five years back. AMAZING!!

Nice dude! I'm with you on Zakk Wylde--I saw him with Ozzy at one point maybe 15 years ago, and he ended up stealing the show. Crazy talent and stage presence.

I also didn't realize Sevendust was on tour. Gonna watch out for them. Their music takes me right back to the HS Football field house, haha. Would be awesome to see them live!
