Might need clarification here after a spell check, but GA Tech DC job is a promotion. Other possible roles would likely mean NFL, which is lateral in role but obviously still considered a promotion by most.

Great point and Freeman can certainly relate and advise Mickens as Freeman turned down Orgeron and the LSU DC job for Notre Dame. Wise move as Orgeron was fired that year.

Everyone wants to anoint Mickens a God when we don’t have a CB3. We don’t have a backup Nickel. we don’t have a second safety. Gray and Shuler have shown no improvement. It’s a one man secondary right now and that one man basically just said it.
