Michigan's goal was to show Bama absolutely nothing. Looks like they accomplished their goal. No way to predict how they will do based on Saturday.

It isn't going to matter. Alabama is going to force feed them Jerry Jone's ego.

I used to wish Michigan would get torn apart by Alabama but wouldn't life be great if they won that game only to lose to us 3 weeks later.

Ah, a thread where we all struggle for objectivity. This sounds like the last two years of preseason Michigan evaluation, and they ended up topping us both times. I desperately want it to change this year, but remember, even if we should blow them out again, we can still beat ourselves, which we've proven we're very good at when playing Michigan.

Ive thought about the same situation and ultimately it would be more satisfying but the hater in me wants to see them get thrashed so bad.

I just want to see Denard constantly pulling dirt and grass out of the crevices of his face-mask on the night of September 22nd.A lot of fluffing by the coaching staff. Last years defense had the luxury of playing one of the weakest schedules in the nation.

Reality check in Ann Arbor week 1 vs Alabama.

We can only pray this happens!!!

Not that it would matter jack-**** in the final BCS tally, I'd just as soon see Michigan squeak out a last second 2 point win over 'Bama in a low scoring game only to get decisively crushed (24 or more points) by ND.

Something of a twofer dream.

108 yards rushing last year, I would count him in the run game.

The initial discussion was over position groups. Robinson is a crucial component of UM's run game, but he is not a running back.

It isn't going to matter. Alabama is going to force feed them Jerry Jone's ego.

Likely, but who knows when you consider Michigan's astounding luck.

When playing anyone, really.

I'm really personally envious of the size of Michigan's stadium. I'd love for ND stadium to expand but I feel like it would lose the current sense it has. One thing on my bucket list is to go to a ND game at Michigan and have ND win (Absurd right!?). Looks like a great atmosphere and how they did the night game was really terrific. Too bad ND's towels vs USC were a lame color (and other things, but I'll leave them unsaid).

If this happens you had better be ready to take some sh!t from their classy fans.

Spring games may be irrelevant but as a passerby on this board the amount of posts dedicated to the subject of a Michigan spring games seems a bit obsessive to me. I took the time to sign up just to say so ;-)

As Hoke would say if he were your coach "For Gosh Sakes This is Notre Dame!"

Michigan has played Alabama a few times and each time was predicted to lose. Same with Florida. The actual results have been mostly otherwise. With Denard at QB they have a chance and all ND fans should know this. Maybe they get smoked? who knows but I like that they will test themselves against the best.

BTW The venue here is awesome and if ND ever plays in Dallas you must make the trip!

In conclusion. Go Blue! The kings of spring!

PS my Godmother who knows nothing of football and has never watched a game asked me back in the mid 70s when MI and ND renewd the rivalry who I was rooting for and when I told her Michigan she was beside herself with disbelief. I think MI won that game and I'll never forget that conversation with her. It was more frightening than going to confesion.

This isn't a middle of the road Alabama team. I don't think UM could beat them if they had 12 men on the field. Then again, I'm very anti-UM so that's just my opinion. If somehow UM beats Alabama, I would take back everything I said about their team last year. Luckiest SOBs ever to play the sport.

I knew you'd catch the reference.

I saw MSU play ND at ND stadium back in the early 90s. My brother in law is an ND grad as are 3 of his brothers and parents. His parents were even married in the chapel on campus. He took us to the game and gave us the grand tour of campus and showed us all the traditions. It was very, very cool I must say. It was me and my brother who are big UM fans and my sister who could care less and my other sister who he married and has converted to ND. Anyhow, ND lost the game to MSU that day and I felt really bad for him for the good time he showed us plus he paid for all the tickets. One of the most striking parts of that day though was the experience watching the MSU students party in the parking lot before the game, they were obnoxious and nearly a mob. Even though I didn't see any charred couches the absolute mess they left behind was disgusting.

Cheers from North Texas where 1/2 the Big10 fan base has relocated for jobs!
