Cack prob still thinks this is a republican.
Tom Nichols was a Republican his entire adult life until after the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation when he became convinced that the Republican Party exists only to exercise raw power. He’s still very conservative unlike the leader of your party, Donald Trump.

Feel free to instruct us on Tom Nichols' conservatism. Seriously, if you follow his positions on just about anything, they are left of center.

Hes basically Bill Kristol but with some expertise. He's anti-gun, pro-abortion war hawk. People need to quit associating hawkish views with being "conservative."

Why? They were synonymous for five decades!
Synonymous because conservatives were more hawkish. If your big thing is getting involved overseas, you'll associate with whatever party supports that.

I look at it similar to abortion. If you are militantly pro or anti, it becomes very easy to associate you with a particular party. But if either party softens their view, a bunch of people would flip parties because their non-abortion political views align better with the other side.

For Tom Nichols, foreign policy stuff is his one true love. Democrats are similarly hawkish (maybe more?) to the GOP. So there is no need for him to be in the GOP. He can have his cake and eat it too by supporting democrats or even just opposing the GOP. He gets similar foreign policy with his preferred domestic policies.

If Dems were to become doves again, and President Tom Cotton was leading a warhawk GOP in a standoff with Russia or China, Tom would be cheerleading and writing articles about how the GOP is back in his good graces and downplaying his domestic disagreements as minor issues.

Yep. Being hawkish isn't a conservative or liberal stance. Given the rumblings in the House and Senate on supporting Ukraine, you could say the Dems are the more hawkish party.

Military industrial complex knows no bounds lol. Wars are unifying because everyone's concerns are taken care of, hurting people that are ethnically different and lining the pockets of corporate donors.

Correct. They are certainly more progressive domestically than Tom. He'd probably rather find some "Middle Way" for purposes of portraying unity and strength abroad and internal stability.

You could say it ... You’d be wrong but you can definitely say it. 😀

There's always someone wanting to submit a bill that is a waste of time and money.
Ask yourself why they do it and what their beliefs are such that they would submit a Bill like this. Is obviously to get into the public to start and they must believe it to put their name on it.
