This is the sort of BS that makes so many of us angry about how far left most mainstream media is and how they're little more than the PR department for the Democrat party. A well-respected, experienced, well-connected, award-winning NBC journalist reported that Paul Pelosi was alone in the house for at least 30 minutes with his assailant after calling police and before they arrived, BEFORE the guy assaulted him, and when he answered the door for the police, made no effort to leave nor did he declare that he was in danger or in an emergency situation. And NBC killed the story and has kept the journalist off the air and out of sight since. Yeah, nothing going on here. No coverup of anything or protecting a major Dem or her spouse.

None of the stars of NBC News have publicly spoken out against this suppression of news or offered support to him, strongly suggesting that NBC has made it very clear to its employees that this is to be ignored or suppressed. Funny that you should post this. I just saw a piece on the Bay Area's NBC site. Apparently the body cam footage from the police that responded to the Pelosi call matches what was originally reported by the DA, but contradicts what the DOJ put out. The DA originally said Pelosi answered the door himself, while the DOJ's report and a federal indictment says that officers are the ones that opened the door.

They say this doesn't change the basic facts of the case, but it also doesn't help silence the conspiracy rumors as they point out. The DA is also asked "Why didn't Paul Pelosi run out of the house towards police officers when he was actually able to open the door for them when they arrived?" They said they can't speculate why he did what he did, but one day Pelosi may need to explain to a jury what his thought process was. I'm guessing we won't ever find out though. Somebody still isn't telling the whole truth here. A supposed burglar wants to maim your wife, cops show up, you don't go to them but instead go back into the house ahead of the cops where the violent burglar strikes you with a hammer? Makes no sense, but trust what the DOJ says right?

It looks like he's brought back accounts and allowed them to post content again. The whole "shadow banning" thing doesn't have enough details yet. Before people would get shadow banned for a variety reasons, people on the receiving end often weren't even posting negative/hate Tweets. If they're only providing shadowbans for people posting calls for violence or harm that would be an improvement.

I believe they said theres a code freeze in place right now while they clean house, so I wouldn't expect anything changing immediately anyway. For now everything seems to be operating normally.

Like when my 4-year-old son points at a tree and asks what that is he is trying to make sense of the world he lives in. I just got back from a trip to Denver. My sister-in-law is a school therapist and they have what they call "furry's". They have litter boxes in bathroom stalls and kids licking themselves because they identify as a cat. Some kids are fighting to be allowed to take a shit outside because "dogs don't shit in a litter box, that's demeaning." How did we get to a point where kids are allowed to identify as animals? We started peeling away other constructs like what a man and woman is. In the meantime, we have the dumbest kids in American history, but Little Susie can be Steven and little Cliff can now actually identify as Clifford the Big Red Dog.

More than 70 years ago he laid out exactly how governments or political or social movements use this sort of thing to destroy resistance to their cause. We saw it during the Bolshevik Revolution. We saw it during the Nazi takeover of Germany in the '30s. You control the narrative, introduce ideas and ideologies that are completely subjective and irrational, then persecute anyone who protests or disagrees.

If you can destroy any objective value of numbers, e.g., then you can push any sort of lie you want concerning a business plan, financial records, ledgers, and etc. Nobody can prove your Ponzi scheme or impossible investment or government plan to finance an agenda or whatever makes no sense and doesn't hold water. If you can destroy any objective understanding or agreement of values, right & wrong, cultural norms, morality, ethics, and etc., then you make it extremely difficult for anyone to judge your behavior as wrong or harmful. That's the whole point: to destroy any objective values of culture, behavior, values, and etc. Once you do that, you can then say or do anything you want and nobody can argue against it. If you have no objective valuation of anything, then you can't judge between any two ideas and are completely vulnerable to whatever system or beliefs or actions are pushed on you. That's the point of the current woke culture war.

Until the recent wave of wokeness, virtually NOBODY considered gender a social construct, nor did they think that children believing they were dogs or cats, people surgically mutilating their genitals and/or breasts, parents putting their young children on hormones or encouraging them to have sex change operations, nor drag queens were examples of emotionally healthy, well-adjusted people.

I assure you that I never get worked up in a tizzy nor forget what I wrote. After reading my words and your response, I'm convinced that you clearly have no intention of honestly and intelligently responding to my points, instead choosing to intentionally misunderstand them or misrepresent them. I understand why, but am disappointed. I expect such from Cack or a couple of others, but not you.

Social constructs and concepts are designed so that people can make sense of the world and the world has a little order to it. When we start to deconstruct those concepts and constructs, the fabric of society then follows suit. Like when my 4-year-old son points at a tree and asks what that is he is trying to make sense of the world he lives in. I just got back from a trip to Denver. My sister-in-law is a school therapist and they have what they call "furry's". They have litter boxes in bathroom stalls and kids licking themselves because they identify as a cat. Some kids are fighting to be allowed to take a shit outside because "dogs don't shit in a litter box, that's demeaning." How did we get to a point where kids are allowed to identify as animals? We started peeling away other constructs like what a man and woman is. In the meantime, we have the dumbest kids in American history, but Little Susie can be Steven and little Cliff can now actually identify as Clifford the Big Red Dog.

But to the original point. If Twitter and Elon's boots disappear tomorrow we are all better for it.
