This was a huge transition year that needed a good season to keep recruiting momentum going,… full blown freak the fuck out is absolutely justified now,… I don’t know what else to say.

No way, now more than ever I'm not happy with Kelly. He probably saw the writing on the wall with the holes we had on offense. He knew this could shape up to be another 2016 type of season. He took off and left us holding the bag when he's the one that did the crime. We're in this position having to rely on a bunch of 19 year old Sophomores on offense because of recruiting issues that are on him.

Right that’s why Kelly left because he knew this team had huge holes and was going to struggle. It had zero to do with the large amount of money offered to him and it was 100% him abandoning ship.

He's going to rip it this week in practice. He's going to give these guys a dose of his version of ND. It was ugly. I yelled at the TV. But I think he's the coach we need now.

- what’s the over under for Freeman’s tenure? Does he get 3 year alike Willingham? At least he gave us a false sense of security with the overachieving underperforming defense and offense.
- Several of us (self included) owe Jack Coan a huge apology. That guy balled out when you look at what we have now. Wanting more Buchner last year shows you I don’t know shit about coaching.
- I think Freeman is proving to be a Tommy Rees-esque coach who was made to look good with Luke Fickle behind him the same way Rees was given praise while being managed by Kelly. The espn goobs have even said that freeman would have been in trouble if Swarbrick hadn’t retained Rees. Did Kelly really want this ninkompoop? I think that was Kelly making a fool out of Swarbrick.
I might have to watch the game just so I can see how awful we are and who I should blame with my own eyes.
- We can only hope that Pyne can be the boost we need. Hopefully he will keep his soft little belly covered with his jersey.
- Tyree should not return kick offs and punt returns are lame.
- I hope Marshall turns out to be this years Cincinnati.
- Sadly Buchner is NOT the guy. Ample evidence is there to make that decision now.
- if we have another loss anytime soon it’s time to play all the new guys.
- Is Spindler getting any PT?
- See what this does to recruiting
- Freeman better show his disgust for most of his team and coaches. He might as well tell Buchner to hit the portal at years end.
- Good for Oyne for sticking around. As shitty as he looked in the Blue Gold game he didn’t look this shitty.

Would be nice to put someone from this coaching staff out on the street. Who wouldn’t be happy seeing Tommy and his whispy mustache out on the street? He can take Al Washington with him. Special teams coach and Golden can stay…..for now.

Almost as glaring as Tommy and the offense is this team’s leadership. It’s bad.

They have no dog in them, no one to turn to when it counts and that’s showed up twice now when they needed to make plays to put away the game. You have Foskey ranting on the sidelines after getting worked by inferior talent, and you have Patterson getting a false start in a critical moment coming out of a TIME OUT in Marshall territory.

This is Notre Dame not Central Michigan. MF deserves time to develop as a coach before ever being considered being the HC at Notre Dame. The only reason he "deserves time" is because Charlie Weiss and Bob Davie were given time. A first time head coach who proved almost nothing in his coaching career relative to programs and coaches at the ELITE programs should have a shorter leash. Brian Kelly was given a longer leash because he had a track record of success. Freeman is 0-3 and that is all we have. This is also 2022, teams can be turned around with "free agents" and a bunch of bags of money. If Nd is unwilling to play the game off the field then maybe they should wait it out give the guy 3 years while programs like Texas, USC and even A&M stack. The fall of Notre Dame will benefit other programs... like Michigan.

The coaches have their players they want to play and nothing and nobody is going to change it.

Hiestands OL is obviously not cutting it.

Defense is playing their hearts out until they get worn down from the offense not being able to do anything.

Tommy has maybe 2 or 3 good drives a game called otherwise his play calling is head scratching at best.

Buchner is not it and unless we swap to a triple option I don't think he's ever going to be it

Pyne moved in the pocket pretty well actually, pick aside. He does a good job feeling pressure and adjusting. He got a TD with his only other drive. If TB is injured, we're going to get him regardless. Gotta try and shore up the OL if we plan on any QB getting an offense going this year.
