Leave a team like ND that is rolling and setup well for the future...for a dumpster fire like the Bears? Sounds like career suicide.maybe already talked about but just saw a headliner somewhere saying coach Freeman is the leading candidate for the bears jobs but don't know how interested he is or would be in the job
I saw some similar headlines and when you read the article, etc., it reads as speculation like he’s a possible candidate that isn’t being discussed much. Sounds like folks just trying to generate traffic.maybe already talked about but just saw a headliner somewhere saying coach Freeman is the leading candidate for the bears jobs but don't know how interested he is or would be in the job

I don't see Freeman as an NFL coach personally. You don't see a lot of "rah rah" successful coaches at that level. Maybe Campbell falls into that mold?
Seattle was Carroll’s third NFL head coaching job and he was a coordinator at multiple stops.Carroll
he is a rah rah guy that had success in the NFL.Seattle was Carroll’s third NFL head coaching job and he was a coordinator at multiple stops.
He was a NFL guy that went to college, not the other way around.
That was a total fucking failure until his third chance.he is a rah rah guy that had success in the NFL.
and then what happened? That was a total fucking failure until his third chance.
He threw the ball instead of running and lost the Superbowl.and then what happened?
Really? Pete Carroll never struck me as a player's coach really. He was always looking pretty calm on the sidelines, low energy laid back imo.he is a rah rah guy that had success in the NFL.
That was after he ended Manning's career, no?He threw the ball instead of running and lost the Superbowl.

"It wasn’t supposed to work.
Like so many others, I wasn’t a believer of Pete Carroll when it was announced that he would be the next head coach of the Seattle Seahawks back in 2010. He was that “rah-rah” college coach who already failed in the NFL, and it seemed that every report I read from so-called experts painted a picture of disaster for my favorite franchise. Basically, no one believed it would work."

An ode to Pete Carroll
Thank you, Pete, for overseeing the most successful era of Seattle Seahawks football and bringing a championship to the organization.www.fieldgulls.com
As a Seahawks fan I would say that Pete Carroll was the ultimate players coach, probably to a fault, and a huge rah rah guy.Eh...maybe earlier in his career, like his 30s-40s? I just never really saw it from the last 15-20, he's 73 now. Never really saw him deliver any passionate speeches or show a ton of emotion from USC onward.
Holy crap...he was a grad assistant 10 years before I was even born. That dude is old.

I think the thing is that, to be a rah rah guy who has NFL success, you need a lot of NFL experience. I don't think Freeman will have the connection with the older players than Campbell and Carroll have.he is a rah rah guy that had success in the NFL.

The goal line interception and the way the team reacted to that call, especially Richard Sherman, changed his demeanor for a couple years. But he was back to himself the last 2-3 years. His fatal flaw was how bad he was at choosing his coordinators. Shane Waldron wasn’t his worst coordinator on staff last year, which is pretty telling. It worked for him, until it didn't
I'll always stand by the fact he had of the best "feel" for his team. His pseudo psychological approach got dialed in over time and really worked well for awhile
He wants a fat extension.
Probably no one as well-suited for the job as Freeman.Give him a fat extension- he young enough to grow at Notre Dame and succeed.
If he leaves who do they get?
Hmmmm. Wasn't there rumors he is working on an extension?
They were tabled after the loss against NIUHmmmm. Wasn't there rumors he is working on an extension?
Okay, so who is on our big board 😄😂?They were tabled after the loss against NIU
After heard anything one way or another since
Uggg, love him for defense, just pay Marcus a ton.Alfred Golden if the worst happens and we lose Freeman
Exactly.FYI his agent is Jimmy Sexton. All these guys are trained to answer like that, especially when they are due a fat raise.
