Haha. Sorry, I didn’t dare bump the Greathouse thread.Man you guys are all over the map! Lol
?Shaun Davis just said Greathouse’s issue isn’t physical. Something else going on with him 😒
Nope, purely using it as an example of how Freeman teams have responded to adversity. Are you saying regular season 8-4 is good this year? 8-4 this year is a collapse , and it’s right in front of us
Make sure you wear your surprise pants on SaturdayNope, purely using it as an example of how Freeman teams have responded to adversity.
Was very happy with how we showed up against Duke after a heartbreaker against OSU. Should have been a blow out if the damn offense had a pulse. Felt similarly about Louisville, albeit to a lesser extent.
Just saying, I expect a strong showing on Saturday, and will be surprised if we come out flat.
If we come out flat or play a flat second half like we have last 2 games… heads should roll during bye weekNope, purely using it as an example of how Freeman teams have responded to adversity.

My issue isn't so much them coming out flat emotionally.Nope, purely using it as an example of how Freeman teams have responded to adversity.

There could be something else going on with him, but I just want to make it clear that Shaun says a bunch of stupid shit in a mysterious tone to sound smart and very rarely has any idea what he’s talking about.Shaun Davis just said Greathouse’s issue isn’t physical. NP, it's just not your post. It's Parker's fault, it's MF's fault, it's Rudolph's fault, it's the O-line's fault, it's Hartman's fault, it's the receivers fault, it's Swarbrick fault. Who did I leave out? lolHaha. Sorry, I didn’t dare bump the Greathouse thread.
Well, when you look that bad on offense vs frichan Louisville, in every facet of the offense, everyone is deserving of blame.NP, it's just not your post. This is what happens when we lose.....Man you guys are all over the map! Lol
Agreed. Freeman lost his first three games as HC. He got it turned around then. We can only hope he gets things moving again this season. Beating SC at home and going into a bye week might be just what the doctor ordered. This team didn’t collapse after losses to Marshall and Stanford last year, even with Drew Pyne. They fought to 9-4, with a huge home win over Clemson.
Just refuse to believe a team that outplayed OSU is going to collapse.
Curious, what ND team did you think packed it in that was different than vs louisville.Agreed. Freeman lost his first three games as HC. He got it turned around then. Honestly, it didn't look like they quit on Saturday night. They were just bad. We've seen ND teams pack it in. At Louisville was not that.
They seemed listless which is different than gassed. The play calling complimented it. I am convinced it all goes back to OSU. That was mind-blowingly bad.Curious, what ND team did you think packed it in that was different than vs louisville.
I don't know of a team that i can remember not trying. But i remember teams not focused, and playing with passion and aggression. I didn't see it most of duke, and almost none vs louisville, especially second half.
Philly, I love ya but come on my dude. Didn't they already fail the adversity test. Just like last year.Nope, purely using it as an example of how Freeman teams have responded to adversity.

It hurts me to see you be so negative.Philly, I love ya but come on my dude. Didn't they already fail the adversity test. Just like last year.
Last year, they had adversity when they lost to OSU. They responded by losing to Marshall. They then responded to that by losing to Stanford.
They had adversity when they lost to OSU, this season, and then crumbled against Louisville.
Yes, the team will eventually respond to adversity by winning a game, hopefully it's by demoralizing USC, because they're better than almost every team on the schedule. However, there should be no more waiting to see how they respond to adversity. They were met with adversity already and failed the next test.
Me too.It hurts me to see you be so negative.![]()

I agree with you, but that was a month or two ago. Looking at it in the present and with some hindsight, think about all that has changed just in the last few weeks.Me too.
Not gonna lie. This season hurts worse than any other in recent memory. This team was setup for a run. College football was setup for this team to make a run.
They honestly failed from a quality of play standpoint at duke IMO...... it was a win despite playing crappy, then followed duke up with Louisville.Philly, I love ya but come on my dude. Didn't they already fail the adversity test. Just like last year.

It’s sad but I have reached this point too…there’s almost some apathy setting in too. 37 years old and starting to wonder what the point is anymore in following this program?Me too.

I sometimes feel the same way. Spent a ton of money to go to OSU game...and my USC tickets were on stubhub before the end of the 3rd vs L'ville. And with the extended playoff......no way a program like ND wins 3 huge games in a row....they usually can't win 2 in a season. It’s sad but I have reached this point too…there’s almost some apathy setting in too. 37 years old and starting to wonder what the point is anymore in following this program?
Well that's what we thought when we were beating up on Navy and Tennessee StateMe too.

Keep going.....33 years olds. Fell in love in high school after the “bush push”
Some solid highs, but so many lows. You have to wonder. I think we’ve peaked. Admin doesn’t help the cause. Afraid we’ll never get over the hump.
Sucks.
Btw. Buddy of mine knows Rees well. I won’t get into everything, but he saw the writing on the wall last year. Getting a chance to work for Saban is huge, but there’s more to the story here.
As in Freeman sucks and will fail? Or admin will never support coach?33 years olds. Fell in love in high school after the “bush push”

Did you remind him that he was playing with a lot less talent? So I went to dinner with a few buddies tonight. All SEC guys so we obviously talked football. Someone said something tonight that definitely made me pause....it was along the lines of "Sam Hartman isn't good, his best year at WF was 3 losses and every other year he lost 5 games. Sure, he threw for a zillion yards because they were always losing. You guys got caught up in his good looks and the fact he's played for 8 years, but forgot hes a marginal QB from Wake Forrest" Love it or hate it...not much to argue as it was a factual outside take. He threw for 300 yards once this year, I'm not saying bench the guy....but maybe we were a little too optimistic with him.
