Really pulling for Dayne, hope he gets a chance to shine. Just checked his stats for the night so far, seems to be only doing so-so. Granted, he probably doesn't have that much talent around him down there at UK.

As a kansas fan i know you are not a mizzou fan. I'm in an argument with a friend of mine that is an mu fan and need some help. Has mizzou ever played a division 2 school? I cant find anything.Oh and sorry about the 4 games comment.

Kansas or Kentucky, he still has a hellofa lot more talent than Div 1AA So. Dakota St. Plus, he has a schematic advantage.

I laid the carpet in their luxury boxes... Let him know their is some Jayhawk swag hidden throughout their stadium... Lol

As for d2 teams look to college football database warehouse. ... None better for my money

Crist looks okay so far. Too much juice on lots of throws. KU defense is horrible...99 yard TD run given up.

But, you know, Rock Chalk. I love seeing Dayne and Ragone in blue.

Always felt Crist had a herky jerky throwing motion. Never seemed able to throw with any touch. Looked awkward everytime he had to do ease it up a bit.

The only Div 1 teams that have NOT played a Div AA are ND, USC, and UCLA.

I'm starting to think i am wrong. I mean division II not division I AA (fcs) i think there might be a rule against it or something i can't find any info on teams that have played one.

17-36 not exactly a statement making effort on Dayne's part. kU also had a nice running game today sonno excuse for such lousy numbers. I think Dayne's will improve over the year but I think after today's performance no one will make an argument for his fifth year at ND. Hope he kicks butt but he will face some stiff competition.

Meh. About like we saw.

Exactly....he didn't have 1 bit of touch and overthrew several wrs or he would have had a Td instead of the missed fg....seems like a great kid but he still has that deer in headlights look and this wasn't div 1 talent....long season for dayne

I don't get the "deer in the headlights" thing. How can you tell that? He wasn't wearing a helmet? Did he look like a deer in the headlights when he brought us back against Michigan two years ago? It isn't possible that he was just a little rusty? I think he'll have a fine year, and I think we would have had a better year last year had we stuck with him.

Wish the ex-Irish well, but KU and Charlie will be cannon fodder in the Big 12 this season. KU is a lot like IU...traditional BB school with a once in a blue moon decent FB season. No local high school FB talent, not too attractive for talented outsiders.

It's going to be a long year for KU. That's true. But, it's going to be interesting! Last year was just sad.
