Word on the street is that it pays above minimum wage.
I think it's like a 60 k a year gig right, not enough to deal with this horrible position. Especially for such a no name program.

I think your credibility is crap because you haven't made one single good contribution to this site yet. I have read all of your posts and not one of them added anything postive to a conversation. I get in debates daily on this site and I dont always leave the argument agreeing with them, but I usually respect their opinion. Since you have been here all you have done is bag on Kelly, bag on Rees and bag on veteran posters of the site.
I got news for you, I am not asking you to care what I think. I am just telling you what everybody that is reading your posts is thinking. Add something to the site, or go over to NDNation and join their circle-jerk of negativity.
Disgrace??? How in the hell does a guy with less than 20 posts know what is valued here and whats not? Read more and post less newbert.
Excuse me? Can you point to one positive thing or reasonable point you made when you attacked me?
Apparently you are the arbiter of what is positive and negative. Any critical comments of Kelly and Rees are negative and are verboden. I am kinda new to this site. Can you please provide a list of subjects immune to criticism.
Regarding veteran posters, I don't believe I have "bag[ged]" anyone. I may differ with some posters here and I will state my side of the issue. So offering a different point of view of a veteran poster here is not allowed?
By the way, Brian Kelly apologized. All the arguments that defended him carry no weight now. It wasn't a motivational tactic; because if it was, why would he apologize? If the guys he didn't recruit had an "entitlement" issue, why would he apologize? He screwed up.
In spite of Kelly, I think we can still run the table (if we limit our mistakes and Kelly would plan a more balanced attack).
I dont know how many times I have to say this until it sinks into your dense head. You have not made one single posts that contributed anything positive yet. All you have done is pooh pooh stuff. Go post in another thread and add something to a conversation to build some creditibility or you will continue to be seen as a negative @sshole by everyone on here. So far, you have done nothing but instigate. People on here have a wide array of views and nothing is past criticism, but dont come on this site and do nothing but bitch, moan and instigate arguments with people. Add something to a conversation or GTFO.

Slow down there, probie. I welcomed you and tried to steer you away from what I thought was a path that was likely to make your stay here much less enjoyable..... and you got contrary with me.
You're certainly entitled to see life through your own eyes. But let me share something with the younger, idealistic members of the board: Just because you have the right to do something, that doesn't mean that it is always wise to exercise that right: You have the right to date whomever you want, and to get out of a relationship that you feel is going nowhere. Despite that right, it's probably not wise to break up with your girlfriend the day after she announces to everyone that she has some life threatening, debilitating disease.
Everyone is assuming that this has to do with an attitude of entitlement. What I heard was Kelly talking wanting his team to play a certain style of football. He went on to say that some guys won't play that style, and some guys can't play that style. He then mentioned that you could see the guys that he recruited, and had his hands on. I took it to mean that he is getting guys in that fit his style of play, while some of the guys left over from the previous coach don't fit his style of play. I didn't hear him question anyone's commitment, or their passion, or even their mental toughness. I heard him say that the guys he recruited, he recruited because they fit his style and he develops them to play in his system. Meanwhile, some of the upperclassmen do not fit his style. And some of those guys are just not physically suited for it. The others, who are just playing the same way they have since youth football....... it will take him and his coaches longer to develop those guys.

You have some entitlement issues. I haven't had any issues with anybody here. You feel entitled to speak for everyone here. Your propensity to litter your posts with curse words reveal how weak and invalid your points are. Do me a favor and ignore my posts and move on. Pretty please with sugar on top.
My question and I think some of the upperclassmen's question is why go to the media. You win as a team and you lose as a team. I firmly believe everyone has bought into his system. What Kelly did in my opinion is place blame for a crushing loss on the upperclassmen. Even if Kelly is right (which I don't think he is), why go to the media and basically air dirty laundry. Who gains? Not the team. So why go to the media? Is the pressure getting to Kelly? I think it is. Nothing he has done in the past could have prepared him for the amount of pressure a ND coach goes through.
Well let's enjoy Te'o now. He is gone.![]()
Well, Kelly didn't go to the media,...they came to him and asked a legitimate question and Kelly gave an honest answer. Would you rather he lie or skirt the question or issue and give a false sense of understanding of what Kelly is trying to accomplish? Coach Kelly has ‘fallen on the sword’ many times for this team and what he is doing is putting some of the blame on the players. At some point, they (the players, especially the leaders - seniors) need to take some accountability for the poor playing at times.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice

Yes. Yes I would. Team>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>fans +media.
Anyways, I think we can all agree that the real losers here are the "fans" that took to twitter to call out the players. It's one thing to have healthy, heated discussion, it's a whole different beast to directly attack college students who have, despite inconsistent results, worked their assess off. Especially when you would never have the stones to say such things to their face.
If any of the guys on this team can step on their dicks, theyre in the wrong line of work playing football...

Here's what I say. I really haven't posted or read anything ND related since that game Saturday. That game was painful to watch in the 2nd half. They started off extremely slow. When ND finally got into it, you could tell that they were a better team. Brian Kelly is right. Three plays on offense stand out in my mind and they all involve UPPERCLASSMEN:
1. Cierre gets a 3-5 yd gain on a screen pass that should have(AT MINIMUM) been a 1st down if not a TD, but he dances instead of running North-South. Could've went into halftime down 17-14 despite slow start.
2. Dayne Crist fumbles the snap with a chance to tie the score. To make matters worse, he doesn't corral the fumble and watches USC return it 99 yds. That was an egregious blunder. (unforced)
3. Cierre lets a pass to the flats go RIGHT THROUGH HIS HANDS. (unforced) Not to mention the times he danced instead of hitting the hole.
This doesn't include the defense getting absolutely gashed in the run game. I'm sorry, but ND is a paper tiger. Some of these guys, for whatever reason, don't sem to have the mental makeup to play championship fball when the pressure's on. Saturday was a golden opportunity and they let it slip right through their fingers (no pun intended). If they're offended so be it. Play smarter football when the pressure is turned up and there's more at stake. Just my take guys. Not trying to bash, but it was painful to watch them wilt. They are better than this. Step it up!
The criticism should have been kept in-house. If Kelly gave an honest answer, I am more discouraged. Isn't Kelly responsible for preparing the team. If Kelly feels certain players are not putting the effort, should he not bench those players. Shouldn't he work those players harder than those who show initiative. I don't have any problems with benching a player for not performing.
Telling the media that some players have not bought in as a possible reason for our failures is not holding players accountable...it is an excuse for the failures. Leaders should not offer excuses...Coach Kelly is the leader of this team. Furthermore, I have not heard one player offer excuses for their play. They have towed the line... which makes Kelly's comments more underhanded.

I also think Brian Kelly should take a look in the mirror as well. They seemed unprepared for what USC threw at them even though that's what USC has done this whole season. The fact that USC can talk trash and say stuff like "we quit" just kills me.

I have seen the video and read "expert's" opinions on it, but I don't plan on reading all 22 pages of this thread. That being said, I am not real happy about BK saying this. I am less happy about the player's reaction. Twitter? Thats ridiculous. Sac up and go talk to your coach if you have an issue. Or, just make some ****ing plays.
Yeah, but how likely is it that a play would NOT involve an upperclassman? It's not like we're starting 19 freshmen and 3 upperclassmen...
Don't get me wrong, I know what BK is saying, and I don't mind his comments at all, but I don't think it's fair to put all of our on-the-field mistakes on "the upperclassmen" because the underclassmen haven't been put in the position to make those mistakes.
