I completely agree ND isnt a top ten team but putting them behind teams like Arizona (9-3) who lost to USC who ND blew out, Iowa who lost to flippin MN and barely beat all the bad teams in the Big Ten or Penn State who played absolutely no one with a pulse and won. Sure you can say ND laid an egg vs Clemson but I would put Clemson at home over Penn State, MN and Arizona all day long.

I understand there are a lot of ND haters out there but this is flat out silly.

I agree, but I’m guessing the committee doesn’t care as much about getting teams right who are outside the top 10. It really doesn’t matter since they’re not in playoff contention.

I’d be very surprised if the committee still doesn’t put Georgia in. It should be Michigan, Washington, Bama, and Texas.

Washington
Bama

Doesn't matter what FSU does. This is just what the CFP does, they love the SEC

Why would Bama hop Texas?
I don't know that they will, but if so, the reason is in the committee's mandate: to select the 4 teams they think are the best right now. The Texas win over Bama 3 months ago counts, but what happened in early September is never given as much weight as what happens in November or December. We've all seen Bama play lately and get better as the season went on. They just beat the #1 team in the country. Do you really think Texas would beat Bama now? Possibly, but most would agree probably not.

There are a million ways to do it. How about: it was the first game of the year and no team showed more growth over the course of the season while stringing together 12 wins and ending with potentially the best win of the season by beating Georgia.

1. Washington
2. UM <--- unless the NCAA would be willing to drop the hammer & atom bomb and go scorched earth on the whore in ann arbor.
3. Bama
4. Georgia or Texas : not entirely sure of their resumes

Top 12 will be all that matters. Let's enjoy the remaining games this year and know... We can lose up to 2 times next year and still get a spot.

I think they would They pounded them at home. I don’t care when it happened on the schedule
If Bama and Texas played tomorrow, Vegas would make Bama at least a 5 point favorite. Texas is good, but got beaten by a bad Oklahoma team and hasn't improved as the season has gone along. Bama was very unsettled at QB at the time, but Milroe has gone from getting benched to becoming a stud. Bama has improved dramatically in the past 90 days. They'd be significantly favored over Texas now.

The Bama-Texas question is an interesting one. Bama is probably better today and has the best win. But Texas beat them head-to-head and that should count for something.

Hopefully FSU loses and it’s moot. They’d get rolled by anyone in the CFP regardless.

So we’re letting Las Vegas decide now?
Don't be intentionally obtuse. You know that wasn't the point. The point is that Bama is probably better than Texas now and the playoff committee's mandate is to pick the 4 best teams right now. Texas wouldn't be favored over Alabama, Michigan, Washington, nor Georgia right now.

Bama and Texas should both be in along with Michigan and Washington, IMO. Texas (Bama) and Bama (UGA) both have better wins than UGA (Ole Miss) and they won their Conference Championship. But I have a feeling that the committee will keep UGA in the top 4 and keep Texas out.

Let's all go to the Grotto... Light a candle and hope Bama gets the shaft... I'll pray for Iowa to get in over them with a win, and Michigan staying in as well.

How great would it be if no SEC team was in the CFP! Not happening though….
