Not sure if it's a good comparison using stats in this case as you compare PSU's BIG schedule vs. Georgia's SEC schedule. UGA definitely played more talented teams overall.
To when? Saturday? I wouldn't object. Having a game like this on a Thursday night of what is a work/school week for basically everyone never seemed like a great idea. And now Penn State will have an extra two days of rest on us.II after game podcast mentioned a possibility of the game being pushed back? They didn’t sound real confident though.
We were pretty close to overtime vs SC as well. Gray made his pick on the one yard line when we were up by sevenDon’t forget it took OT for these dickheads to beat SC.
Thursday? Why wouldn't both games be played on Saturday?
Whatever.NFL playoffs on the 11th
Stealing from poster at ISD:- I wish ND was healthy.
- The second half of the season has been a pissing match between who should be ranked higher, PSU or ND. Now we'll find out.
- I don't like to get carried away with early season results, so I'll ignore the USC game, BUT they struggled against OSU (who at the time was playing pretty uninspiring football) and should've lost to Minnesota.
- Marcus Freeman and staff are way better coaches and Franklin and his. PSU acts like a bully. Talks a big game. Until someone punches them in the mouth. ND is the exact type of team that will put them in their place.
- Does anyone have comparable metrics to PSU, Indiana, Georgia, and ND? I'm curious how these teams stack up statistically.
I was actually surprised how high they're rated across the board. Thanks for posting. Having watched both teams off and on this year, I would've never guessed that PSU was ranked so much higher in some of those categories.
I think we can all be safe in having supreme confidence in Freeman, Denbrock and Golden at this point. Especially Golden. I hope he releases the hounds on this Allar kid. Those stats are not opponent adjusted. Penn State played two good teams this year and looked bad both times. Georgia played a very tough schedule.
I have watched a lot of Penn State and I think they are a solid team. But there is going to be a big headset mismatch in this game.
With how bought in ND fans are now, I gotta think every crowd will be pro-Irish the rest of the way. Sleeping giant awakened.Penn State doesn’t travel well so this should be a pro Irish crowd foo
living here in PSU country....they travel very very wellWith how bought in ND fans are now, I gotta think every crowd will be pro-Irish the rest of the way. Sleeping giant awakened.
They are coached by James Franklin. I like our chances on that alone.
I’ve been watching this for the last 20min or so. Never watched the whole game. I was 5.
I believe one of them asked Denbrock & he said they basically tabled it until after the UGA game. I doubt it as the priority will be on TV, local hotels, fans’ travel plans before the wellbeing of the players. If they moved it I suspect it could have a domino effect on the other game b/c there’s no way they have them on the same day.II after game podcast mentioned a possibility of the game being pushed back? I agree, a different poster said they don't travel well but I would definitely not say that. I grew up in Scranton and live in Philly now I am right in the middle of it lol. My point is just that ND fans have not been this energized maybe ever, so I gotta think the secondary market will skew towards ND.living here in PSU country....they travel very very well
Not what I want to pictureI hope Notre Dame does to Penn St what Sandusky did to those kids.
