I'm not as upset as I thought I would be if ND lost.

I would have been if it was a repeat vs Bama in '12. But, Freeman and ND fought back like they have all year, and made it a game. 11 point loss, but really just a touchdown, against the most talented roster in college football.

Some of you guys need some perspective. Gray literally got us to this game with heroics against Penn State.

The only thing you can question is Al Golden going to a style of defense that Ohio State probably expected and also isn’t what Notre Dame does… and I honestly don’t know if blitz happy man coverage would’ve ended any better.

A generational talent. Smith is amazing
No shit, you'd think he was getting burned by a back up on an FCS team. Smith is going to be the best WR in all of CFB probably as early as next year, shit happens. We don't get to this point without Gray. Sometimes a player doesn't suck, sometimes someone else is just good.

This team played a competitive national championship game against a superteam. Nothing to be upset about, especially when you realize that Notre Dame should probably be BETTER next season.

Entire OL can return healthy and in proper positions.

Love is back and should have a monster season with a healthy OL.

The athleticism on defense returns and should even improve. DL is the question mark.

Theres a lot to be excited about for this program.

ND wasn't scoring in 26 seconds. The FG was the wrong play and Freeman will have to answer for it like Golden Woll have to answer for his showing.
Disagree. At the time of the field goal, there's no way to know when you would get the ball back. It was the right decision at the time.

Gray got toasted for 14 pts on stupid shit. He sucks
I actually agree game after game this year I was noticing how often he was beaten. Not just on passes to his receivers, but angles and tackling. He showed some glimpses occasionally, but pound for pound he was exposed on a weekly basis but any team with a passing game worth a darn.

MFMF's culture of grit and fight went a lot farther than the loser prior coach's culture of smoke and mirrors. As depleted as they are, they had no real business making this a game after being down 31-7. I'm sure some narratives will be out there that OSU took their foot off the gas, and maybe they did. But even still, you have to still be fighting to have that make a difference. This team with BenMo at CB could and possibly would have won this game. Hopefully kids see what Marcus brings to the table on and off the field and want to come be a part of something special instead of just another guy.

Yes. Rushing 7 on 3rd and 11 is dumb. Go 4 and spy Howard since his legs killed us and it occupies an OL. Terrible call.

Obviously a lot can happen but I believe this is a more talented team in 2025 than 2024. We played competitive with a juggernaut national championship winner after 2 big playoff wins.

My cup is half full.

I just don't see ND winning a title again in my lifetime.
I can’t believe that’s your takeaway from today’s game, especially the 4th quarter. We had so many injuries this year. It’s MF’s third year and he’s shown a lot of progress. We’re basically guaranteed to always make the 12 team playoff. Next year we should actually have a passing game. We did not get it done against CFB’s first $20M roster this year. The future is still bright.

Man this sucks. These guys had so much heart and so much fight all year long. Battled through insane adversity and came up just short.

Freeman is a great program builder and it’s now when not if this program will win a championship. Remember both Kirby and Dabo lost their first trips to the final, they will grow from this pain.

If Kelly was still the coach this game is 56-15, we have a group that won’t quit and that’s why my heart breaks so much for them
Kirby's 6th and Dabo's 9th year are when they won. Dumb fucking moron's (Giddyup et al) will shit their pants, but Freeman is well on track.

Given the lack of success our blitzers had when we did go to it and just how badly we got gashed (the 70 yard run to start the second half) I’d say it’s pretty safe to say we didn’t have the personnel for that.

I mean this was a known issue going into the game! Howard’s the best qb we played all year, and Ohio State has the three best receivers we’ve played all year. Gray on an island wasn’t going to work, and fading Watts to help him wasn’t going to work.
