Blitzes from all different directions…confusing lineups and pre-snap movements…just constant chaos, destruction and aggression that would have Brady or Manning uncomfortable.
I would almost go as far as to guarantee this. Unless Golden sees something in film review that makes him concerned about Georgia's quick game or Stockton has shown to be better at quick decision making vs. touch passing against a zone, I would expect Golden to have a lot of different looks mixed into his plan. One of the most masterful was USC last year against Caleb Williams.

I'm still in awe of how much he spoiled Caleb Williams' plans. He had a lot of time to prepare and he had the prior year to see what went wrong so two very different scenarios. I'm hopeful, even if I'm feeling less than confident.

Losing 4 of your top players on defense and 3 OL is not a recipe for success against Georgia. But this team has been playing with swagger/confidence, hoping they can keep it up when trading blows with the bulldogs.

As time edges closer to game day, are you guys getting more confident or more worried about this matchup?

I am not confident for two reasons: injuries on defense and no proven go-to receiver—although Faison and/or Evans could step up. If I were UGA, I would stack the box and dare ND to beat them with the pass.

But I am holding out hope because we have a running QB and a great DC.

I assume that's what they plan to do. Bring everyone within 10 yards of the LOS and force him to throw under pressure or scramble
Actually a viable strategy for both teams. Stockton is unproven. Riley has pretty much proven he can’t throw deep unless its totally wide open

This team is definitely not scared. I'm sure they're excited for the challenge
I don’t think they’re scared, I just hope they don’t come out tight and overthink it. They need to play fast and loose. If Freeman comes out of the tunnel like he did against A&M, I’d feel pretty damn good about ND’s chances.

Outside of Leonard, Love and X, who’s the player that is going to step up and have a bigger than usual impact? I’m going with Sneed.

It's been an awesome year.

Likely too many injuries on defense, and WRs who won't threaten georgia will make it difficult to win.

Looking at the best D ND played, Texas AM. ND played extremely well-continuing to rush the ball but not dominating the run and RL passed the ball to multiple receivers for moderate yards (something like 160). ND has drastically improved their O.

Load the box, make him throw.
We need to blitz or at least threaten to blitz to keep the QB uneasy, but in general I think I prefer to play more "bend, don't break." I don't want to commit too many safeties in the box. Make the new QB execute play after play if they're gonna score

Idk. Georgia hasn't been super convincing this year. Their best performance was week 1 against an ok Clemson team and their best wins are against Texas (who hasn't looked special either).

I want to get him rattled early. I'll leave it to the staff to figure out how to do that. Under Kelly, it seemed all too common to let inexperienced QBs ease into games.

I would think the best practice might be to just take away the run with a heavy box. Make this guy beat ND and put some hits on him. Nothing dirty but I wouldn't mind seeing a guy put a lid under his chin.
